And I thought Brissette looked better than Jimmy in pre season. Even predicted we'd see some Jacoby packages the first 4 games.
they put in that option package over the summer, they didnt do it the 3-4 days before. They were prepared (as usual) if he had to play but he clearly wasnt ready to run the normal playbook yet. Understandable the new CBA really cut down on practice time.

Would it kill you to tell the whole story? Instead of just the parts that suit your narrative? He played the second game with a badly sprained thumb on his throwing hand that put him in IR after the game. Kid's got a huge arm and all that ever comes out of the Patriots coaches is how much they like him. Sorry if we defer to them instead of the boards biggest Patriots hater. He only threw for 108 yards in his first start because he had a grand total of one week of 1st team practice in his entire career and the Patriots led the entire game. He didn't need to throw it. He also rushed for 50 yards, including this beauty. Great, All excuses you would never make or accept for a kid that threw for 108 yards and was than shut out by the Buffalo Bills, if he played for ________________________
Maybe he will be a solid QB one day, all Im saying is that in his first 2 chances, he looked as bad as a QB can look, outside of a few nice runs
No I wouldn't say that. No why? Because I wouldn't give a shit. and it's not an excuse. He thumb on his throwing hand was all fucked up. This is fact, not opinion. And he's a 3rd string rookie QB. I wouldn't give a shit enough to pretend to have an informed opinion. And I certainly wouldn't sit there and scoff at the coaches and talent evaluators on the most successful franchise in the sport. I'd sit there and say "I don't give a shit. When it's time for me to give a shit, I'll see what's what."

It all stemmed from me saying that I'd prefer Andrew Luck to RG3. And I think history has shown yet again, that I was right.

"bwahahaha bledsoes dead and so are the patriots. who the fuck is this #12?" -dirt after moe lewis That's pretty much what you all said. i knew who he was, we all did. i saw him in a preseason game vs carolina at the old foxboro stadium. he sucked. but belichick said brady nearly beat out bledsoe in the preseason that year anyway. we believed in bill...and hey, i may see my 5th parade since i turned 25.

As soon as I saw Bledsoe go down I said "thus begins an extended period of excellence featuring multiple Super Bowl wins". Looks like I was right.

Bill wasn't even at the presser lol

Yeah, it may or may not be revisionist history, but it's been said many times that the only thing that kept Bledsoe in the starters job was the fact that Kraft loved him and gave him a huge contract extension before the season.

B-b-but Tim Brown said Brady wasn't even going to be the starter. Forget the fact that Brady won like 10 games in a row that year.

Not a lot of time to MPL the thread.....but the report is Bears are talking about 2 #2s for Garrappalo? and he has one year left on his rookie contract?
I guess that would be worth a shot that he is going to be good. Its a risk, we have seen this before...guys look good in the Pats(or broncos, packers etc..) system and then you get them in another system and realize they cant play.(Cassell, Osweiler, Flynn.....)
I want them to either keep Cutler & draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round........or 2 #2s for Garrappolo........I don't want to see fucking Hoyer and his nutsackless passes that cant get into the endzone and is too scared to throw to Alshon because he looks covered.

Jimmy would be the starter on the Bears. Think that's obvious. Over Barkley? yes.......that is obvious...
what is also obvious is nobody knows what kind of QB he is going to be.
at least 3-4 teams have great amounts of interest. the jets even said they backed out because they knew the pats wouldnt trade him in the division, because they believe he is going to be that good. they nearly traded cassel to buffalo. nuff said

It'd be a bit more believable if it were "The pats have told the Jets they will not trade them Jimmy." That sounds like some serious Patriots PR shit.

If they think Jimmy is that good, they would not back out. They would wait to be told they can not have him. It's not like they have to invest anything by staying in the loop on a potential trade. The Jets have been rumored to draft 3 different QBs and acquire Romo, Kaep, Jimmy....I'm not putting anything into an article saying they are interested. I hope they are interested in every QB option there is.

The Patriots backup quarterback should attract plenty of attention this offseason from teams armed with draft capital.
Garoppolo would be an elixir for the Jets, whose quarterback quandary is their biggest obstacle. He would be the perfect quarterback for Chan Gailey after three years of tutelage from the greatest quarterback and head coach in NFL history. Garoppolo has showed flashes of brilliance transitioning from a college spread system to one of the most prolific pro-style schemes in the past 15 years.
It’s too painful for the Jets brain trust to imagine what the 25-year-old signal caller might be in green-and-white. Garoppolo, whose unofficial ceiling reaches the moon, will likely be moved elsewhere this spring.

"backed away from" i.e they had interest how do you take being wrong so much and still come here? pats wont have a pass rush mclellein wont contribute good luck with bennett! the bears dont want jimmy why do you come here? - false - I asked where it was going to come from....it was a simple question, but Bahstun took at as an attack on their manhood - no, I said he is terrible....which he is. Which the less clueless of your fanbase agreed to...which you agreed to....and then took it back because he made a special teams play. - Said he would be productive this year....I said good luck if BB signs him to a long term deal. - No....I don't want Jimmy for a 1st rounder.
poor Rock......you are having a snoogs day....I will forgive it. you usually snap out of it.

He's making sure he covers everything. He has Brady retiring and Jimmy getting trade. Every team on earth interested in Jimmy and some teams interested but backing out. Pretty much anything that happens this offseason, he has called at some point. Dirt is one of the few non-patriots fans who think Jimmy is going to be a future great. My question to Dirt would be, why wouldn't the Giants try and trade for Jimmy if you think he is that good?

If you wanted to trade for all three of them, it would cost 9 first rounders, 6 second rounders, and all the probowlers currently on your roster.
