Kapernick raises awareness for racial inequality, and writes a check to inner cities for 1 million bucks. "Fuck that guy" What does that have to do with his ability to play football?
no.....he is an inaccurate passer who doesn't want to do the work required to learn offenses(or cant without Harbaugh holding his hand)........but wants to start and get 9 mil.

Kaepernick wants 9 mil and a starting job... 'we'll get back to you' That, I understand. He's hurting himself with that sort of demand. Distraction or not he's not worth that amount of change at this point in his career. He wasn't awful last year, especially when you consider what he was surrounded with in terms of talent. He needs to bring that number way down, most teams don't need/aren't looking for a QB and the few that do aren't looking to plug that hole with a vet at that number with his "baggage".

He decided to kneel during the National Anthem, and now no one wants that "headache". Not even Joe Thomas who never uttered a word about Josh Gordon. And now people are happy he's not finding work.

No, the GMs were saying "fuck that guy" during the season. Yes, he's asking too much. Even if he brings the number down, no GM will still take him? I call bull shit. And he played well with what he had around him. Geno Smith found another job and he aint half the player/person Kapernick is.

The bolded part is a little much. He's a vet QB that can start and has started in the NFL, his contract demands are what is dogging him, IMO. Worse players have been given multiple opportunities.

Kaepernick wants 9 mil and a starting job... 'we'll get back to you' I don't think anyone wants to give him either of those items. Part of me believes he could start for a few teams, but isn't worth the headache for those teams, either.

Josh McCown got 6 million for this season to play with the Jets.

You can give Kapernick 9 million.

Beating his wife? Driving 105 MPH with minors in his car? beating his 2 year old son with a branch? What headache besides standing (or in this case kneeling) for expressing his beliefs and putting his money where his mouth was?

Like Jay Cutler. True. But QB's who rely on mobility don't age well. Cutler sucks, but at least he's a pocket passer. I'd take Kaepernick over RG3, by the way.

that would tell us it isn't the national anthem thing .....its the fact that no one wants to pay what he is asking.

You know how much his National Anthem protest pissed people off. Then he was sympathetic to Castro when he died and wore the "pig socks" to piss another huge segment of the population off. He's also not very good anymore. Not a good combination.

I see truth to that sure. But like Chappee just said, "who wants that headache"? I mean if we're talking about a guy who sent a plane full of food to another country on his own dime, and we're calling him a "headache" I thought we gave people the Roberto Clemente award for that kind of shit? And yes, I know that's only for baseball, but still.

Even if he lowered his price tag, there's still a good chance Johnny Manziel finds work before he does.

Kaepernick is about as toxic a player as there is in the NFL right now....which is saying quite a lot!

When 49ers coach Jim Tomsula benched Colin Kaepernick after San Francisco's Week 8 loss to St. Louis, Tomsula said he made the decision because he wanted to let Kaepernick "step back and breathe."
Although that might be partly true, former 49ers linebacker Bill Romanowksi seemed to insinuate that there might have been more involved in the decision-making process. During an interview with 95.7 The Game in San Francisco on Friday, Romanowski said that the coaches weren't thrilled with the way Kaepernick prepared for games.
"Let's talk Colin preparing for games. And you know how they get iPads now. And they regulate, and they can watch how much film you watch. Blaine Gabbert, when he was a backup, was watching four to five times as much film as Colin was," Romanowski said, via Ninersnation.com.
It's an interesting comment to hear from a guy who spent six seasons in San Francisco. It's also interesting to hear because just two days before Romanowski made the comments, Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu said Gabbert was a "better option" for San Francisco.
"That's not to take anything away from Kaepernick, but it seems like Gabbert has a little bit better grip on what's going on," Mathieu said on Nov. 25. "If he gets in a situation, he knows where the ball needs to go. He's a hell of a passer. I think he's underrated when you talk about how well he can throw the football."
Mathieu, who will be trying to stop Gabbert on Sunday when Arizona visits San Francisco, also said that his team was very familiar with everything that Kaepernick was trying to do on the field.
"We just knew Kaepernick's tendencies," Mathieu said. "We knew what he liked to do. We knew which way he wanted to roll out. We knew what side of the field he liked to read to."
Basically, Mathieu made it sound like he could tell that Gabbert was watching more film and studying harder.
"You don't pick up those same things with Gabbert," Mathieu said. "He's better in the pocket. He has a better feel for coverages. It seems like he can get to the line and see a coverage and then go to a different play. Or, see a coverage and not throw the ball. You can see Gabbert's maturity and the different things he does well that Kaepernick doesn't do well."

It is just a football game.....and GMs jobs are to win those football games....and if they thought Kaepernick would help them win games, he would be on their team behind center. Apparently they don't think he can help them win games. Lots of film to support that opinion.
