and that's how we know that you are not paying much attention to the Red Sox lately. He stinks. Simple as that. The whole team does, or Nava's shittiness would be more obvious. since he was called back up after his demotion he hit 310 in the month of June and he had 350 in the month of July. He is young and cost controlled and coming off a fantastic season last year. You want to just throw him away because he had basically 5 awful weeks over a two seasons stretch? It just doesn't make any sense at all dude.

Daniel Nava has an OPS of .653 and an OPS+ of 84. I must be missing a lot in the games because that is god-awful.

Yes everybody knows he was brutal until he was demoted in the middle of May. Since he has come back up he has been hitting over 300. And he had a red hot July. He is a platoon outfielder man. Nobody is saying the guy is the next Albert Pujols. But you need guys like that on your team.

He does nothing really well. No speed. No power. No real position, even. He's probably a decent bench guy and little else. Keeping him around as a starter is a commitment to mediocrity.

He sucks. www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=5450&position=OF

So he's below-average? Thanks, seat! Strictly looking at that number absolutely but he has been hitting what .280-.300 since his return... I'll take that from him.

He's a pretty decent 4th OF and bench bat.

He's never been a starter. But you cannot have a team full of 25 All Stars. And for your fourth outfielder? He's about as good as you can ask for.

LOL! They were just talking about it in the radio. The host admitted he doesn't think it means anything. The speculation is great. All kidding aside, TLR in the dugout is the best thing that could happen to the D-Backs. He wins everywhere. But yeah, I doubt it means anything either. If he really still wanted to manage, I doubt he'd have ever left St. Louis That's the way I see it..but could he be a Don Zimmer..what the hell was he?

So, why is he playing every day? Why is Betts being sent down when he needs the MLB at-bats the most? We know what we have with Nava.

I think Tony the Drunk fancies himself as a front office man now. Wants to build it. Zimmer was always a field guy, and he knew it and enjoyed it.

Been hitting .330 since his return... Pretty good right there... I'll take it... I say let him play everyday No man! We just covered this. When he plays every day, he gets exposed as the shitty player he is. Just like Jonny Gomes. Nava has a role with this team, but I want to see what they have with the kids. Nava's below replacement level routine isn't exciting me.

In his last 10 starts, including eight with the Red Sox, Lester is 6-0 with a 1.21 ERA.
Meanwhile Jake Peavy has yet to win a game

I have to wonder ... with Jimmy Rollins playing much much better now. Is he a prime candidate for a trade with NYY this offseason?

Just figured Rollins would be realitvely cheap to acquire and him / prado up the middle might be pretty damn good without costing them much at all
