word. 90% of my FB feed is videos of people doing that. So far I've managed to avoid getting "nominated" lol I would just donate what I could which presently isn't much lol is it better or worse than the harlem shuffle? better because at least it's for charity and has nothing to do with NY ha ha

I have predicted that the Braves will lose all 7 vs. Dodgers and A's. I am 2/7 of the way there so far.

When you are a Cubs fan, you need something stronger than most to help soften the blow of the annual losing.

However, I myself don't have one solid reason for this. As a .500 team now, they win at home just as much on the road. If the hitters are to blame, then it has to do with them not having one real solid skill set. They only have a few guys with pop, even fewer with base stealing speed, and they do not hit for a very high average. The problem then comes down to pitching. And, the main culprit is Mike Minor. He was couted on to have a much better year than he has. It is not all his fault, but, he seems to be the glaring red flag and easy target for their filure this year.

and wtf is up with EE?!?! "After he was initially prescribed a 2-to-4 week recovery timetable from the quad injury, Encarnacion has missed over a month of action, depriving the Blue Jays of some needed pop. Because of the extended absence, he'll likely require at least a handful of rehab games before the team feels comfortable activating him. With the Blue Jays falling six games behind the Orioles for the division lead following back-to-back losses, even the return of one of the game's top power threats might not be enough for the team to overcome the deficit.: My other fantasy team is screwed.. I have EE, Brandon Phillips, Carlos Gonzlaez out Good news, and FYI Red. EE Hit a grand slam in his rehab game last night. A good a sign as any that he is almost ready for prime time again. Let's hope he returns soon and continues to hit slams!

Probably not. A cubs fan would need it before then. However, at the same time, they also seem to be very good at waiting a very, very long time.....

Apparently the Dodger's pitching in the 80s kicked ass.

This, plus offense from both Cano & Kyle Seager, are the reason they are still in the wild card hunt.

Apparently the Dodger's pitching in the 80s kicked ass. I would think that if it went back to 1960, that a bunch of Dodgers teams from that decade would be on a similar list as well.

I am just now seeing that Manny Machado has been placed on the D/L today. That said, there has been no real info on the severity of the injury just yet. Watching the injury as I have many times now, while it does not look like much as far as how and why he was hurt, it looked bad. More to come, but I can easily see him missing the rest of this year.
Related, the O's are turning to Chris Davis to man 3B in the short term at least. Look for a lof of errors, as there was a reason he was moved off 3B to 1B, and then, from 1B to D.H. He may love his glove, but from what I have seen, it does not love him back.

He was couted on to have a much better year than he has. It is not all his fault, but, he seems to be the glaring red flag and easy target for their filure this year. The problems are, in order: 1. GM Frank Wren made some terrible decisions in giving BJ Upton and Uggla long term high salary guaranteed money contracts. Pitiful decision. Wren should get fired just for that alone. 2. Gonzalez is an idiot. He doesn't know when or how to play small ball, he doesn't know when to change pitchers and he can't make a lineup worth crap. When you are struggling to score runs you play small ball. For example, the Braves had a man on second with nobody out last night in the 8th. Instead of getting the guy to second with a bunt we ended up with a double play. He needs to get demoted down to the minors and if he doesn't want that, he needs to get fired second. 3. Get rid of BJ Upton. Do whatever it takes. Just get him out of Atlanta just like they did with Uggla. The guy sucks and they keep putting him out there every night? Please. 4. The pitching is fine and I have no problem with it. 5. All coaches except the pitching coach need to get fired, make the pitching coach interim manager until you find somebody else. SHOW THE FANS THAT YOU WANT TO WIN and get rid of all the slack. The attendance will keep going down until the Braves DO SOMETHING about this pitiful excuse for a MLB club. If they continue to do nothing more and more fans will turn them off and tune them out. Just like we did the Flames and the Thrashers.

Picture this:
1. You are hired on as a GM for XYZ company. 2. You hire 2 guys you say are great and sign them on for huge salaries for multiple years. 3. You have a manager below you who can't manage his way out of a paper sack and you do nothing. 4. The 2 guys you signed both suck.
How long do you expect to keep your job? Probably nothing to worry about if you are working as the GM for an Atlanta pro sports team not named Falcons.

Only a fan would see and pay attention to the day to day running of the team type stuff, and have info and be able to speak about the brain trust there ( or, as you pretty well put it, the lack thereof ). Not that I did not think it can and does happen in sports, but, I hate it when the problem and solution are ties to an issue of someone getting a job maybe because who they knew, vs. what they knew. Those situations NEVER end well, regardless of the arena they occur in.

Those situations NEVER end well, regardless of the arena they occur in. Yeah. The Braves' owners would rather just sit back and say "Need to give him more time" than admit they made a big mistake hiring Wren. Same thing with Gonzalez. We'll have several subpar seasons before they finally get fired, that's the usual thing in Atlanta, same with the Hawks in the past. I do think the Hawks are on the right track, though, love the coaching staff. BUt as usual the owners won't sink the cash into it to win a title so we'll just get beat in the playoffs every year. Atlanta fans are used to this. We've been enduring it for the nearly 53 years of my life. I've seen the Braves win one title and promise the fans the world only to end up getting beaten. I think Ted Turner figured out he was playing a losing game and that's why he left Atlanta for good. LOL Wonder how long Arthur Blank will last with the Falcons?

Just as impressive as your reasearch abilities. VERY well done sir. Thank you. I've been googling up college football stats ever since google was invented and marketed and I had some good teachers from my days over on CBS. LOL I'm sure I don't hold a candle to you and the rest of these guys on here as far as baseball is concerned. Problem is that you need basic historical baseball knowledge in order to be able to tell if what you just googled up is right or not. Some of the sites are just plain WRONG as I have found out the hard way.

On that, I don't beat myself up too much, as when dealing with an otherwise reputable site, I don;t think anyone should be expected to fact check everything themselves. That is for those who get paid to write/post the stuff that we throw out there for free.

The big question though is, Is this info from this site correct? Probably but I wouldn't bet any money on it. Abreu had an .872 slugging %? I find that hard to believe. Don't they throw 90 mph and monster curves down in Cuba?

Answer: Retractions. The vet knows who is reliable and where they are. The rookie will print anything he can get because he don't know the ropes.
