Its a steal now that i think about it Of course it is. Are the pats getting anything with those picks comparable to cooks? Nope.

Why was NO so eager to get rid of him? Mouthed off about losing catches to thomas a few times and he wants to get paid. The pats didnt pay branch years back and they regretted it for years. Maybe this is their do over. Young kid. Lots of upside. Fits the offense.

odd choice imo. Rumor is Cooks wants big money next year. And Pats don't generally pay up. Odd choice? Lololol Slam dunk for the Patriots...

Why was NO so eager to get rid of him? Deep draft, cost certainty compounded by lack of cap space Michael Thomas and Willie Snead

Why was NO so eager to get rid of him? If they don't think they are super bowl contenters this year. Its a no brainer to parlay the last cheap year of Cooks for pick no 32 which is the 4 Years cost control + option year on a player with risk..but upside. Salary cap league=contract situation inflated importance

Pats are really going in an opposite direction here... bringing in a lot of outsiders. Always a red flag for me, stuff usually seems to fail Brady's in his 40s. The window is closing fast. Time to trade the picks for veterans and take one last crack at the big game. One last crack? Cooks is 23 years old..

I'm sure when he eagles got their guys, they knew the trade stock would go down.

Snoogs, McCourty's job is not to get INTs.
He may get a few next year though as he won't have to help as much over the top.

He's not a bad player... But he's not great, either. He should be pulling 5-6 picks a year, by default.

He is providing help and teams generally throw away from him. How you feel about Butler is how I feel about McCourty, how I feel about McCourty is how you feel about Butler.

You need to have ball skills to make plays on imperfectly throw passes downfield.

A QB imperfectly throwing it out of bounds isn't going to help you get INTs.

So the way i see it The pats have gotten worse Down graded at TE --- Yes, their 2nd string TE is a downgrade. Down graded at DE --- BB plugs and succeeds here all the time. Slight upgrade at CB --- Losing Ryan and gaining Gilmore is a pretty big upgrade. Upgrade at WR ---- Huge upgrade at WR, which makes the allen/bennett switch meaningless. Still have no RB ---- They have all they need. Just hope they don't get AP.

from nfl.com “I’d take Glennon over Osweiler in a heartbeat,” said our NFC GM. “ He won’t do it himself, but if he has people around him, he’s got a chance. And that’s three-quarters of the league at quarterback. He has talent, he’s smart, he’s tough enough, for sure. He got the crap beaten out of him [in 2013 and ’14], and he kept coming back. He never dropped his eyes. He stood in there and threw it.
