Any takers for Kaepernick? Or is he going to be blacklisted out of the NFL?

This is all you got to look at.
Stephon Gillmore: 5 years, 65/40 (Patriots) AJ Bouye: 5 years 67.5/26 (Jacksonville)
Jacksonville just handcuffed the fuck out their defense.
I am not happy if I'm a Jaguars fan.

Two other contacts to compare:
Kenny Britt: 4 years 32.5/17 (Browns) Robert Woods: 5 years 39/15 (Rams)
What the fuuuuuuuuuck are the Browns doing here?
Lets just forget the fact that the Rams had Britt....let him go and signed Woods to a very similar contract, a bit more team friendly.
Kenny Britt does not deserve that kind of money. To put a past comparison on this:
Eric Decker: 5 years 36.25/15 (Jets)
Yes, this was 2 years ago.....but you just gave Kenny Britt........essentially the same contract. Total fucking failure.
Robert Woods on the other hand......I love that contract.
Yes, you look at the stats and it makes no sense. But Buffalo struggled in the passing game and really tried to force feed Watkins when he came back.
Woods is a young guy who should be able to put up some good numbers if (big if) he can get solid QB play.

Any takers for Kaepernick? Or is he going to be blacklisted out of the NFL? Holding out for a starting gig but I don't think he gets one. Eventually reality will set in and he'll settle for a backup role, or, knowing Kaepernick, pout into early retirement.

And back to Pickles point about Pryor...
When the Eagles sign Jeffery to what they did.....that really hurts Pryor's value.
First off, if you are a team who likes to sign FA WRs, you know Jeffery could be there next year. Second, give me 1 year.....I'd take Jeffery all day over Pryor.
Good contract for Washington, Pryor was in an impossible situation. I probably would have done the same thing if I was Pryor. His reputation kills him and he needs a year to prove himself.

Pryor's attitude is the wild card. He was hated by his teammates at OSU and supposedly the same thing with the Browns. In terms of age and ability, 100% agree.

I am not happy if I'm a Jaguars fan. I dont get your point A) Gilmore is far better than Bouye. I understand he is getting 14 more guaranteed....but that's really the only difference. I would go as far to argue he is a top 3 corner in the NFL. Rex asks so much out of his corners so it's tough to put stats on these guys because they are left on the Revis Island.....but his guy is the real deal. And while I didn't see a ton of Bills games, I'm going to assume Darby had the help.......so you get Darby and help......Gilmore is getting the spotlight all year, which is why his stats might not add up. B) You just signed Bouye and Campbell to huge money if you are Jacksonville. These guys are your defense in terms of money for the next couple of years. If they don't produce, you better draft the fuck out of the middle rounds. I hate both signings.

Eventually reality will set in and he'll settle for a backup role, or, knowing Kaepernick, pout into early retirement. I don't think there is a starting gig for him in the NFL anymore. I'm sure a few teams would want him as a backup, but he's pretty toxic and might not be worth the headache. I'd love to see him blacklisted right to the CFL.

I was thinking the same! Pryor got virtually nothing.

Gilmore is getting an even better percentage at $40 million guaranteed out of the $65 million but he is that fucking good. A corner usually lives up to it......I feel more times than not, when a corner doesn't live up to the hype of a FA contract; coaching or injury is the reason. IMO Devin McCourty is the most underrated defensive player in the NFL. If the Patriots keep Butler, the options for BB are endless. If the Patriots don't keep Butler, they have improved their #1 corner and still have McCourty to protect any weak spots in the secondary. Dude, Devin McCourty is nothing special..

Martysaurus to the Packers He won't be missed. Bennett was a C/C+ this year. Played hurt for 70% of the season. His offense went into the tank after the game he got hurt. I had zero interest in bringing him back, but I have no complaints with his season.

One reason Brandin Cooks traded now is he had a $781,599 roster bonus due on 5th day of league year - Monday. Now Patriots responsibility.
