No point in creating a team thread... I'll be one of the few that actually post here.

I'll be looking forward to the expansion draft and seeing which one of these goalies gets lifted from our roster.

Ainge looking to make a blockbuster, and nothing is off the table. ainges biggest problem is himself. he set too high a standard for us fans getting KG and allen. he needs to make a BIG splash. hes promised "fireworks" for 2 years.

Since Lebron moved back to Cleveland, he's been a better GM than Danny Ainge.

Agreed on the high standard that he would have a hard time living up to. That said, "splash" and "fireworks" is not important. I'm with the Impatience Mob in having a strong desire to make a leap and get in the "can challenge the Cavs" conversation. Would rather do that this year than two years from now also. But making a bad deal just to make a deal is not a good idea. If we have to wait, we wait. The conventional wisdom is that being where they are now is "no mans land". Lots of teams tank just to get a few top 3 picks in a row. We don't have to do that. We have the picks without having to tank. Situation could be 100X worse.

Here are the likely picks ainge has to work with (some of the years might change, this is what is most likely to happen):
2017 Nets 1st 2017 Wolves 2nd 2017 Clippers 2nd 2017 Cavs 2nd 2018 Nets 1st 2018 Celtics 1st 2019 Celtics 1st 2019 Memphis 1st 2019 Clippers 1st 2019 Pistons 2nd 2020 Celtics 1st 2020 Heat 2nd 2020 Celtics 2nd

And from a roster flexibility POV, don't forget Yabusele and Zizic are on stash deals. Doubt that they make a huge splash, but I think that both are NBA players. So you can move 2 more guys on the roster, if necessary, and still have depth.

How's Anthony Bennett doing? Remember when it would be a mistake Cleveland got rid of him? Now he's a poor man's version of Robert Traylor, with more body fat and no employment.

Here in Detroit, we have this problem. The GM keeps acquiring people that can't play. His coach can't make the pieces fit. They can't seem to agree on anything.

Thompson is his guy also, and he's on a max deal putting up Nerlens Noel numbers.

Next year becomes the more likely year.

I never looked at Thompson as anything special really. Not a very good scorer but at least has more interior presence than Mozgov. Who's making max money in LA. Looks like they paid the right guy again.

Would love to take Reggie off your hands.
