Adjustments worked. Couldn't get any possessions outside our own zone and when we did, they were one and back in our faces.
Back to STL.

Best news for me is that Val is finally playing with confidence. Up until Game 4, he just looked like he had no idea what he should be doing out there. On Thursday, he appeared decisive and just played. So far this game - the same. Spezza needs help in that line with Eakin on the top line. He's getting it now. Add to that the kids are playing well and contributing, Johns is going to be a top line defenseman for years to come. Janmark for Erik Cole was a steal. McKenzie & Ritchie are getting ice time. And all this with Seguin and Eaves out. I have no complaints. Yeah they sure have improved their roster since Nill came to town and the Chihawks have to eventually pay for all the salary moves that have left them prospect barren. I expect the Stars and Blues will be the alpha dogs in the Central for the near future |

Good Lord!!! That 2nd period felt like a siege with the Blues coming and coming and coming and coming...
Kari was terrific. Gave up a goal on a long shift when he Blues kept it in the offensive zone. Other than that, he stoned them.
