actually not game tied toronto ahead......instead instant game over Saw that on the mlb website. Game log switched from the Jays being up 4-3 to the Rays winning 3-2. |

oh so what A-rod did in the Play-offs? no....he stuck his hand out to trip forsythe as he threw to first......even though forsythe threw wide of the bag scoring the tying and go ahead run.....the play was deemed a double play and the inning wa over....game over. That dick! |

If the runner is in fair territory, then if hit, the runner is out. They have the outter lane to run down to avaid being in play. I was called out twice. Once for obstruction. There was an errant throw. The other time I got hit, in the back. The only thing that was wrong with that call, was that I WAS not in fair territory..#biasedumpire. |

Thing is, imo, he didn't deviate his slide. He slid directly at the base, but did extend his arm. It is not like he slid 10 feet out of his way...ala Utley. |

It wont take long....now they will just have one slide (their normal slide) instead of that one AND their takeout slide.

Also, instant replay should be used to review missed calls. Not look for the most miniscule of technicalities, like whether or not a guy is off the bag for a millisecond while sliding. he moved his arm a little bit but you move your arms when you slide. |

bottom line is that Utleys slide was legal, because it was under the old rules, Bautista's was not, because of this new rule.
