I hope everyone ignored my fan duel stuff from early today. All of my pitchers are lesser than today Roark Eovaldi Peavy With Joe Kelly being rained out. Maybe that is the solution to the Roark game? Praying for a rainout. Should have started Latos like I told everyone to.....
seriously though........you can do worse than a starting pitcher against the A's

What are your feelings about the Great Daniel Murphy? worst fielding middle infielder in baseball.......decent hitter, but not enough to make up for the runs he will cost his pitchers by not getting to routine grounders that every other 2B in baseball would get to. Ian Desmond was sailing the grounders he got to from SS for most of the year last year. Murphy being a "decent" contact hitter is better than the K's from Desmond. I see it as a net positive for the Nats.

I wanted / needed more of a current sample size, to see what Matos has left anymore. Otherwise, I totally agree to start most guys going against the A's.

6 inns, 0 runs, 1 hit, 2Ks, 1BB.
Seems to be getting guys to get themselves out...(not many K's) Nice for a #5.
I think Danks is really the #4 but they wanted to save him for Cleveland tomorrow.

Pretty much the 2nd coming of Frank Catalanotto.

Tyler White.....Astros rookie 1B hit at every minor league level in which he played.....now he is starting for the stros.........good start so far. incase he wasn't on your radars yet. White singled to center, Rasmus and Gómez scored.
----------------
yup....I've forgotten more about baseball than you guys ever knew...........
and I haven't forgotten anything

A great line. No question. But, as you correctly stated earlier, it's only the A's.
If I were to Duel though, I would at least consider him for his next turn.

when they say 'streaky hitter' they are talking about Castro......
He can carry a team by himself for 3 weeks or so......but when he gets out of rhythm, you want just about anybody else at the plate.

maybe jump on him until he gets cold.....
If I remember correctly he was either the best or 2nd best hitter in all MLB the month of September.

Albers came in and did a great job cleaning up Duke's mess.

Nice to see the rain has stopped for the Marlins / Nats game. Both starters are done for the day, as the delay was just too long.

Both tore it up early on after bad years the year before, making Cashman look like a genius. Then both reverted back to being the players their previous teams gave up on.

Who knows, but it's been a horrible start. and what's fun & interesting is 2 things: 1. Bumgarner was also ill, I believe he was recovering from the flu. pitched a solid game in which SF won 12-3. 2. Zack's 1st game of the season registered a game score of 17. the lowest game score so far this year? Jungmann's 9 rating out of today's game.
