And, something tells me that Gomes will be your catcher soon, and that you will flip Grandal form someone else and better pretty soon.

Sale Arrieta Maeda Carlos Martinez S.Gray Gio T.Rosenthal Rondon A.J. Ramos Syndergaard Jose Berrios Nola Very nice indeed. I still think Berrios is up too soon though, and he may get sent down because of it. But, then again, the Twins suck this year, so, they may in fact let him ride out the bumps and bruises he will take as a 21 year old kid pitcher.

Yeah this past week Grandal has been slipping and seemingly not playing a lot. I am wondering if I should let him go (instead of trading) and picking someone else up.

But I am thinking they'll let him ride it out. The rest of my team is as follows: Cervelli A-Gon Dozier Moustakas Story (ss was pretty much my last pick) Forsythe Y.Tomas Harper JD Martinez Dickerson N.Mazara Fowler Joe Panik

That is an easy answer in a way, in the your league waiver wire will answer that question for you. Meaning, there is either someone still there worth having or not. In your case above, when dumping a catcher but not NEEDING one in return, you should be able to find someone sitting around that will help you more than Grandal.
Assuming you have a spot on a bench to stash him, you can also kind of sit back and wait, and see what other owners are tossing to the waiver wire.

He just has not really gotten going yet this year. The good news being , that if need be, he can pretty easily be replaced.

Yeah I do have that utility spot/bench spots available for him

I like giving young pitchers a shot. With the heat he throws, it will probably take a while for batters to catch up. Provided he can get the ball over the plate enough to stick.

In a NL only league. Guy loses Dee Gordon and wants to know if I'd trade one of my 2Bs. I have A. Diaz, Matt Carpenter, Josh Harrison, and Trea Turner(NA..this is a keeper league). I need an RF or CF, and he has Cutch, Puig, Cargo, and Parra. Thinking of maybe a Carp for Puig trade since I highly doubt he trade Cutch. Any thoughts?

Seems fair to me, and, I feel this will be the only deal with a chance from the options you mention. I say that, only as I don't view Parra as much of an option, as he must be sit vs. almost all lefties based on his history.

Offered him Carpenter and a #1 pick, for Cutch and a 5th. He rejected it and offered me Hammels for him...I rejected, because I don't need a pitcher. Gonna send the Carp/Puig offer and see what happens.

You are doing the guy a favor by filling what is likely a glaring hole in his roster. Hope you have a need for an OF. Nl and AL only leagues are a huge challenge. It becomes much harder to make acquisitions of every kind if you are confined to the talent base of a single league and there are 12-16 teams. I won a CBS AL only league last year and am in one this year. It took so much monitoring that I think my performance in other leagues suffered, but it was fun!

If the trade goes thru, I am hoping by June the Nats call up Turner. Kid is playing well, and should be an upgrade over Espinosa, for them.

For me, 5 leagues a year is my limit. As they all are daily roster change leagues, it keep me VERY busy.

With Turner, although there seems to be no chatter on it, it seems to me that they are keeping him in AAA to control his service time for an extra year. He looks MLB ready to me.

Well the Puig-Carpenter deal was rejected. He is trying to sell me on Parra. Sent me a proposal for Wong and Parra, and I'd give up Carpenter and Piscotty. Took me all of one second to reject that. I told him Parra was a product of Coors, and Piscotty wasn't going anywhere, unless he wanted to give up McCutchen. Looks like he will have to pony up, or get him a 2B off the waiver wire. Good luck with that, in an 'only' league.

Just rejected a Cargo/Wong- Carp/Piscotty proposal, also. He said best he could do..I said pass.
Piscotty is my 1B, and the only other I have is Paulsen, so that was a no brainer, too.

Because if this, it is hard to feel the win of a rejected bad to you deal. But, by doing nothing here, you really do win.

Delema....I have Hundley in same league, only C I have, the other is (na), and is likely headed to DL. Should I pick up Wolters? Two other options are Rupp and Norris. Barnhart is available, but lacks power.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel......
If those are the choices, I would guess I would go with Rupp. Though Ruiz is once again productive at the moment, and playing the lions share of games, I think Rupp will be the type that produces well in limited action. This as opposed to Norris, who is a starter, but, who has stunk on ice since about the mid point of last year.

I noticed Norris hadn't done much, except for past couple games. Too bad the Cubs aren't ready to call up Contreras, as he is the other I have. Guess I'll go with Rupp, for now.

He is, so either he bows and gets a real good 2B / 3B or he has to scrape from the bare NL only waiver wire.

Looking at some numbers, I could see where Geo Soto of the Angels may be a nice fit. I think he will press Perez for playing time as the year goes on, as long as he keeps hitting that is.

Soto isn't an option, as this is the NL only league, I am in. Thus the scrap heap in the catcher's line.
