I know that but breaking the rules is breaking the rules. They have them for a reason Seeing that you are a fan of the Seahawks I can see why you would want the SB title vacated as you're team was unable to win it on the field of play. Unfortunately for you and all those football fans who hate the Patriots it just doesn't work that way. Okay Hub I was just stirring the pot a little with that. I wouldn't want a title that way although with a vacated title I thought that there was no champion. They won the SB game fair and square and I seriously doubt that the deflated balls actually won them a game they would have lost with fully inflated balls but cheating is cheating and I believe that Tom should walk the plank for that, 4 games. I think 6 games would be the max. I'm hoping for 6 for him. And it's on the principle that cheating should be punished

So Tom's agent Don Yee is crying that the NFL used a sting operation to catch the Patriots and Brady. Too bad Don stings only work on the guilty. He's also crying that seeing as the law firm Wells works for does work for the NFL that it is not a independent investigation Didn't hear any complaints about that before the ruling was handed in makes it sound like sour grapes

Seems odd that no Pats fans are here defending what is left of his honor Particularly since this discussion is occurring on what is essentially a Patriots fan site. Yabba dabba doo

I tend to believe him. But if it's four... his return game - the Colts.

I'm a Pats fan but this is far from a Pats fans site. Funny thing is the Raiders have the most fans on here. There's a few that rarely leave their cave (Daily thread) I(/"Boston") get trolled non stop in there lol far as "Deflate gate" I still think it's a joke. Kind of glad they caught because he was pretty awesome after they fixed the balls vs the Colts then in the SB. Maybe he thinks he likes the ball soft but is better with a regulation size whole deal just seems silly to me.

The league is too cheap to hire on site officials for these kinda things. Did the deflated balls win them any games? By themselves not a chance. Did it give TB a bit more confidence throwing ? On that I have to say yes. Is it cheating ? Yes the rules are clearly defined and it has to do more with the integrity of the game than whether it helped them beat anyone

this report came out after I left town again. Just got back. I barely even know what came out yet. Dont care very much either lol The part that irks me is that the league was trying to "catch them" yet bungled that. It also bothers me in that although I joked about vacating the title it'll put a question on the title that shouldn't be there. The Pats are the SB champs plain and simple. But TB cheated and should be reprimanded

I don't see any professional sports doing that Because it's stupid. Everyone knows there was a Super Bowl played and everyone knows who won it. Same goes for every vacated NCAA title. if you're going to vacate a win, just put a asterisk. but I think this whole deflate shit is way out of hand, it's really not nearly as big of deal as they're making it seem.

I don't see what they're whining about. None of this changes the fact that Tom Brady added a 6th Super Bowl appearance, 4th Super Bowl win and 3rd Super Bowl MVP to his resume. This whole deflate story is going to be nothing more than a minor footnote at the bottom of his Pro Football Hall of Fame webpage. He's just trying to protect the integrity of his client. We all know that a suspension is forthcoming regardless of what he thinks about the report.

it'll be a big section on Wikipedia and that's about it. this is a petty situation that's exploded up for no reasonCause it's cheating is there a competitive advantage to it? it doesn't seem like there is so there's no reason for this to be a huge deal. it's bigger than a LOT of things, it's being talked about CONSTANTLY

As for was there a competitive advantage Tom obviously thought so or he wouldn't have had them deflate them

I'm making the point of how it's blown way out of proportion since there really isn't a competitive advantage to that. this story is HUGE but I guess it's because it's the off-season and there's nothing else to talk about in the NFL

They had the balls weighed so they fall between the parameters of the rules than his flunkies released air from them.caused he liked them less inflated. And that is cheating
