My response... "Too bad. Other than being malware-infested and managed by some of the most unscrupulous people on the Internet, Hoopla seems like such a nice place." You could always use my handle and post away. I dont think I got banned but then again I dont check. I actually think that fool is trying to lure me out. It's not like I make a serious effort to mask my posting style other than a different "handle". They sure don't ake much of an effort to change their posting style on this other site. They are still the smartest guys in the room. It's just comical that they blame the "ruin" of the Hoopla Cowboys forum on the FN guys...

I have a very wide tatse of music and have a hugh range of music types in my collection. Everything from Classicial to Country to Rap to R&B to Alternate to Rock to Heavy Metal. I have a little of everything and a lot of some things. If I like a song, I've never cared what music type it belongs in. And yeah, I know the fans of some of those types of music just don't get along, EVER.

That damn song might well be in there somewhere. I know for a fact my "kryptonite" song is. I cannot hear "Torn Between Two Lovers" by Mary McGregor without sensing all lifeforce departing my body and soul.

Shows how little attention I paid to pop music even back then (FM ruled in those days, you know, no top 40). I always thought it was Olivia Newton John.

I always wanted to play Lex Luther..... Shows how little attention I paid to pop music even back then (FM ruled in those days, you know, no top 40). I always thought it was Olivia Newton John. I was stationed in Abilene, TX from 77/80. The shitty radio station there played this damn song every 2-3 hours. Along with the fine work of Roger Whittaker and Manhattan Transfer... We had cable in our barracks to I was able to listen to KZEW from Dallas there... which was the FM gold you refer to from those days. But in our shops and on the flight line... not so much. I would go on TDY's to England and be exposed to the genius of the Sex Pistols... Supertramp... the Clash... Status Quo... along with up-and-comers like AC/DC... Motorhead... and this american guy Tom Petty... then come back to Abilene and hear that same old shit played over and over and over and over... I'd damn near bet I could go to Abilene today and within 24 hours hear that damn song.

They even made that song into a crappy made-for-TV movie in the 80's I think. I've never seen the movie and have no desire to look it up to get the year it was first shown on TV. I'm sure one of our fellow posters will look it up just so they can taunt you (and everyone else too) with it.

I believe she was a 1-hit wonder, so I could see how she'd hate her one hit that pigeon holed her for her entire career. And she's hardley alone. Lots of other 1-hit wonders hate their only hits too.

Actually you could say 2 networks if you include the Hallmark Channel.
