Rock blew. 80's had way too much hair band crap... but the 80's also had Metallica. That alone makes up for some seriously crappy bands (note - wife and I are going to see Tesla on January 31... one of the few bands I genuinely liked back then). I've come around on the 90's stuff. AIC, Nirvana, Soundgarden, STP... there is a lot of quality in there. The "aughts"... it's there but you have to look for it. It ain't on the radio and it ain't on Sirius/XM... but it's there. Black Keys... North Mississippi All-Stars... Cross Canadian Ragweed... just gotta do some digging. |

Baltimore @ New England - everything screams Patriots on this game. But... I cannot shake the memory of that playoff run by the Rat Birds three years ago... nor those stats of Flacco in the playoffs... nor the fact that Harbaugh just seems to have this team ready this time of the year. I'm probably wrong. Baltimore
Carolina @ Seattle. Easiest pick of the weekend. I can't wait to see a collision between Cam Newton and Kam Chancellor. My money's on Kam. Seattle
Indianapolis @ Denver - I want to see those first few passes by Peyton. Because the last few passes I saw from him looked like shit. Denver's defense is going to have to win this one and probably can. Indy is still a few pieces away from being a championship caliber team. But they are close. Denver
Dallas @ Green Bay - I'm going to be a homer. I truly believe the Cowboys can win this game. I think both offenses will move the ball and score and both defenses are capable of making a few plays that can turn it also. I will point out one other little fact that gets lost in all of the above data. Green Bay Special Teams aren't the best. They are capable of giving up some big returns. And - Dwayne Harris is due. Dallas
