Raw deal IMO he had them in the playoffs his first year and they were not that good of a team and the last 2 seasons they were contending till February when their lack of depth was exposed due to injuries. I put this on the owners who are making them do a Flames kinda rebuild losing out on larger returns for players (Iggy Kipper)that wouldn't be there when they would be contenders again The death throes before Hockey Mgmt accepts rebuild time are awful to live through . The Flames missed out on a pile of draft picks by holding on to Iggy , Kipper , and Camalleri way to long . Those picks are the only thing that counts when the "window" closes . LA Kings will be in Vancouvers boat in a year or two.. At least the Kings have a few mid 20's players on their team. The Canucks downfall is a barren area of players in that area Kesler Grabner Umberger and Schneider being the only top of the roster hits during that era. Granted Bourdin looked like a keeper before his tragic death. Only Schneider brought a good return in Horvat. Umberger brought a fucking rental in Rucinsky (moronic) Grabner was given away (cause they had Mason Raymond who had the basic same skillset) I liked Grabner way more but they gave him and a 1st rounder for Keith Ballard (aargh) And Grabner went on to be a Calder finalist while the league found out that with those lightning wheels Raymond had hands of stone. Kesler forced the trade then gave them 2 cities he'd wave his no-trade for they ended up with Bonino & Sbisa,a third line center and a third line D-man (being kind on that last one) Shinkaruk one of their busts Benning got Granlund who looks like a keep as a 3rd liner with a possible move up to a 2nd liner. They had a few others that were passable NHLers Matthias Hodgson that were moved on and then there's Jared McCann who was so hated in the room that they traded him for Gubranson after a rookie season Virtanen might get it but I see a third liner at best. There only later round hits since 2004 when they in the 3rd Edler and Hansen in the ninth was Ben Hutton in 2012. That is not a recipe for success |

Free Willy - ex Cannots Coach will be coming your way . Not gonna make a lick of diff to your horrible Goalie tandem but... Hadn't heard that today... and Desjardins is pretty well liked down here. Coached a lot of these guys at Cedar Park. But you're right Harry. Gotta fix the crease first. Class act all the way till the end unlike the last coach. And the Canucks faithful will be grateful for the maturing into top 2 liners that developed on your watch of Horvat Granlund Baertschi |

Game 6 in Pittsburgh... Monday night. After they won 2 in Washington, I predicted Pens in 6. Said they would split in Pittsburgh, lose in Washington then finish them off in Pittsburgh. Hopefully that will be the case. Holtby was the difference tonight, made some terrific saves. |

Either way, Pens have got to figure out how to get the puck past Anderson. Unless they do they could have Tommy Barasso in his prime in the nets and still not win. |
