The Jackets are 2 points up with 3 games in hand. I think the Rags are safe. lol So the plan is working? I agree. Montreal is looking good though... Yeah that's definitely a be careful what you wish for.

Sigh!!! At least the Pens got a point last night. Along with a historically bad power play and a historically worse penalty kill, "Got a point last night" pretty much sums up the Stars 2016/17 season which ended a couple of weeks ago.

Is there at least hope for next year??? I guess we'll see what the new coach thinks. If nothing comes from this year, the kids on the Blue Line should be better. Lindell has been everything they thought he would be. Klingberg - not so much. They need to find him a quality pairing because the mix between him and Lindell just doesn't work. And - there's the goalie thing. Ruff had to pull Kari the other night. I think that's 13 games where he's had to pull the goalie. If there is a record for that, the Stars gotta be close to it.

Sigh!!! At least the Pens got a point last night. They had what, a 10 game winning streak going? 21 points in 11 games isn't bad, but watching them it didn't look like their hearts were in it. Must have been tired from the road trip.

Oilers 7 - Stars 1
13th game where they used both goalies.
Outscored 12-2 the last two games.
Now - on to the owner's hometown.
Rock Bottom.

From what I understand, you don't try to keep up with Harry at a party.

Keenan used to have the nickname Captain Hook I'm sure he is right up there and Don Cherry and his favorite goalie Hardy Aastrom with the Colorado Rockies would be a possibility

I didn't really have a problem with the hire at the time. There were a lot of bad coaches available then (and GM's as Canuck kept reminding me that Burkie was available). And - Nill's up tempo offense was a little refreshing. The problem he was saddled with and never could overcome... at Buffalo he had Hasek and Miller to cover up those breakaways when the Sabers turned it over. No one is mistaking Kari for either of those guys. I just hope the momentum to bring Hitch back gets put to bed. Rarely does a return to the scene of greatness ever work. And while he would definitely help develop the kids on the blue line, he isn't going to make Kari better either. I am intrigued by Gerard Gallant if only because he and Jim Nill are acquainted from the Red Wings days. I don't think they will take too long.

But you're right Harry. Gotta fix the crease first.

Raw deal IMO he had them in the playoffs his first year and they were not that good of a team and the last 2 seasons they were contending till February when their lack of depth was exposed due to injuries. I put this on the owners who are making them do a Flames kinda rebuild losing out on larger returns for players (Iggy Kipper)that wouldn't be there when they would be contenders again

The Flames missed out on a pile of draft picks by holding on to Iggy , Kipper , and Camalleri way to long . Those picks are the only thing that counts when the "window" closes . LA Kings will be in Vancouvers boat in a year or two..
