Coming over from the old Fan Nation, I'm used to taking abuse from all the other fans, about "dirty Penguins." The only time it really bothered me was when it came from Boston fans. They thought Lucic and Marchand were "gritty" but the Penguins were dirty. |

I tried to keep my sense of humor but lost it when people started piling on or kept talking about Matt Cooke like he still played for the Pens a year after he was gone. Everyone is keeping lighter here. I was fishing down in Louisiana below New Orleans last week and saw a sign near where I was staying that said, "Crosby Tugs." I thought there might be a few hockey fans down there, but then I read the rest of the sign and it was an add to rent out tug boats. Still Crosby Tugs sounds better than Crosby Sucks. |

I became a Pens fan a few years before they drafted Mario so it was great and a real joy to watch him from the beginning of his career. Even went to several games at the old Igloo to see him in person. Ahh the good ole days when I still lived within a 2 hour drive to Pittsburgh's arenas and stadiums. |

I think it was the puck to the face that did him in. When he played with the mask in the Islanders series he was fantastic. When he took the mask off, he disappeared. If Rutherford had to trade either Sid or Gino I'd let Sid go in a heartbeat. |
