Did you forget how that discussion started earlier? Rock was crying about how anytime a player switches borders like if Stanton came to the Red Sox YAnkees fans would say "He aint no babe ruth." I then pointed out how it is no different from the other end. He actually said Mike Trout, if we are being technical. I didn't remember the guy, that is why I didn't put stanton in quotes.

You guys seem to be upset about the Yankees still in contention. Suddenly a playoff rotation of Kuroda, McCarthy, Capuano & Greene is looking mighty dangerous.

I think Gardner Ells Teix and Beltran make a lot of sense. First two have decent or good OBPs and steal bases. Teix and Beltran are your power. I suppose you could do Jeter number 3, but slap hitting guys tend to hit into the double plays. The problem which I was originally getting at, is the Yankees won't even dare to bat him in the lower third of the order to give it a try as an experiment. Jeter batting 7th?! unheard of. Guy has handcuffed that team. Going into the season, I thought Jeter batting 2nd would handcuff the Yankees' chances. But it really hasn't gone that way. Jeter's had a good year and still is a tough out. Why mess with it now?? Also, Jeter would overrule Girardi if he tried to do that anyway. If I'm Girardi and had this crazy streak of 2 run games I think I still try and tweak that line up. I know Yankee fans are content with being just on the cusp. Problem is, on paper this team should have a firm hold at least a wildcard spot.

It's the assortment of .230-.240 hitters that are in the heart of the lineup.

You guys say Jeter sucks and Rock calls him a compiler when he is or is about to be the #5 in hits of all time. You have to be stupid or a Red Sox fan to discount that. What does Jeter sucking have to do with Boston? Oh I forgot - he draws a lot of walks for among the AL SS - he's awesome. 7 shutout for Shane Green Thanks Boston

Girardi just humos the lefty/righty thing to death....I promise you if Jeter wasnt there, it still would not be what seems to make sense, Gardner and Ellsbury............And all kidding aside, who on this team has hit well enought to say Jeter, batting a fairly respectable .280 should definitely be replaced? Id really agree with you if someone stood out My guess is Prado is your #2 hitter next season, and Ellsbury I would have to think remains in the 3 hole

Let the guessing games begin again. Five more baseball players — unnamed at this point — have reportedly been linked to performance-enhancing drugs by the DEA as part of its "Operation Strikeout," the government's investigation that started at the Biogenesis clinic and recently caused the arrest of clinic owner Tony Bosch. That's according to ESPN's T.J. Quinn, who also reports in his latest piece that MLB is leaning on the DEA to get those names. The league wants to start the punishment process ASAP. Quinn writes: One source said five players have been identified during the investigation, although it is not clear whether all five are on major league rosters. Two law enforcement sources said the evidence that the players received banned substances was compelling and that they expect the players will be suspended by MLB. According to sources familiar with the investigation, the players identified in "Operation Strikeout" were not connected to Anthony Bosch or the Biogenesis clinic he founded, but to other defendants in the case, including Yuri Sucart, the cousin of Alex Rodriguez. Cousin Yuri, more than just A-Rod's gopher, eh? Did he have his own PED ring? He was arrested on Tuesday, like Bosch, so it sounds as if Sucart could be starring in "Biogenesis: The Spinoff," which certainly won't do anything to keep A-Rod out of the news until next season. sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/report--dea-discovers-five-players-with-ties-to-peds--mlb-wants-names-171716220.html

Or is there some BR tool that will do that?

The 21-year-old has shredded the minors, however, for a .342/.429/.530 line with 11 homers and 30 steals in 88 games, including a .321/.408/.496 line in Triple-A Pawtucket. With something of a roster crowd in the big leagues that has the Sox rotating outfielders in and out of the lineup, the team wanted to ensure regular playing time for Betts at this stage of his professional development by having him return to the minors rather than dealing with fitful playing time in the big leagues.
