A fine opening for one of my fantasy baseball insights. That being, NODOBY should be untradeable. Not Cabrera, not Trout, nobody. Why? Because you can never tell about a trading partner, and his willingness to overpay. Of course, this usually means few to none 1 for 1 deals, unless you are dealing Trout for Cabrera. It's about value, and filling your team needs to the best of your ability. In fact, if you are playing ROTO, you should be looking at all of your scoring cats, and be adding and dropping / trading guys where you have a stat surplus, and try to address team needs, based on which catagories you can make the biggest leap and impact in going forward. Well with Heyward it was more that I had him ranked fairly high on my draft board...Didnt think I was getting any fair offers at the time...they were trying to "buy low"... I'm not a big trader anyway...I do my homework for the draft and I tend to stick with the guys I targeted a little longer than maybe I should I guess...the higher I draft them the longer they get to perform like I expect them tooalso I was last place at the time so teams were looking to screw me lol Me too. However, I think me making it public that I expect to win the trades I make, I get very few trade offers at all.

yes, but apparently not the ones he was suspended for. which begs the question.... Did they only approve him to use those "others" in order to screw him in the end?

so is Porcello now the ACE of the Tigers? Well, I would not go quite that far. I have been saying that Verlander is on the downside now, but, he has "been there, done that" much more than Porcello. And Scherzer has been doing o.k, but is a lot more up and down than last year to be sure. So, while he has been their best pitcher for a bit now, it will take a lot more doing before I myself will crown him king of that rotation.

Oakland Athletics owner Lew Wolff said he has received permission from commissioner Bud Selig to move the team immediately from O.co Coliseum unless a new stadium deal is agreed upon, the San Francisco Chronicle reported Thursday.
The Chronicle obtained an email from Wolff sent to city and county officials on Wednesday night in which the owner said, "I was informed tonight that Commissioner Selig, due to the possibility of not having the hearing and vote that we were purported to receive from the JPA (Joint Powers Authority board), that we will immediately be allowed to seek a temporary or permanent location outside the city of Oakland."

"Better pitcher... RIGHT now."

If anything, he over-achieved last year.

Thousands of cities to choose from in the U.S. The only one off limits is the one that wants the team the most, and is most willing to spend the $$ for a great new stadium. If only........

He may have another super-season left in him at some point in the future, but expecting him to roll out four or five in a row is just wishful thinking imo. Regardless, he'll still get an absurdly large contract this winter

Andrew Cashner.... Keep him? YES! A real talent. His only question is health. Well, if you don't count the team hitting behind him that is. That is where things get interesting, as, he might MIGHT be a selling piece for the Friars, and, a trade should give him more value.

In years past, the answer would have been yes. But, he is qualifying at fewer positons as time goes on, and, this year, his numbers have taken a tumble. So, and though this was probably not a serious inquiry, the answer is no.
