so, JBJ = gregory planco? if thats his ceiling im fine. polanco .273/.340/.505 (.845 OPS) 21 HR/79 RBI 70 runs 12 steals JBJ .269/.349/.492 (.842 OPS) 21 HR/73 RBI 75 runs 7 steals Well Polanco is 24 and the far bigger frame.. So he probably has more room to surpass his current numbers to be even better..than Bradley who sucked at 24.

Its funny. Polanco and bradley had similar paths to their breakout years this year. Polancos ops. .650 .701 .845 this year Jbj .617 .532 .832 .842 this year

Surprised you didn't use Mookie and Altuve But leverage is a thing.. Polanco has leverage, bat speed and patience to become a monster in his prime years... Again...24. Its very possible he's far from his peak

No one thought jbj would ever hit 20 or drive in 70. Who knows what this year does for bradley next year.

Has Polanco's batting average been in a steady decline since game 45? If not then you can't really compare the two because JBJ hasn't bottomed out yet. It has Polancos hit .242 in the second half... So... JBJ, 18 RBI in 44 games, 66 RBI projection Polanco, 29 RBI in 35 games, 134 RBI projection.
OPS: JBJ .681 Polance .805
BA: JBJ .218 Polanco .242
No comparison. Polanco will be an all star next year. JBJ will be a platoon player.

Jose Peraza 4-4 last night and has been killing it
He's a guy that has been compared to Altuve because of his size

Thats not what you said. Polancos hitting.242 this half. Down from like.287. Thats a 45 pt decline. You said 45 right?

Bradley was an all star this year. And the best defensive outfielder in baseball.

What is each player's BA drop since then? If you don't answer the question then I'll assume I'm right.

Why not a comparison? Jbj was never going to hit.342 Polancos not going to either Both are coming down bit one had to fall farther because a ridiculous tear put him at like .370

Because JBJ's BA is dropping twice as fast, that's why. Because Polanco does not have a weakness against left handed pitchers, that's why.

No comparison. Jackie will make a solid platoon player and late inning defensive replacement. Polanco will be starting 155+ games for the next 12 years.

JBJ's defense can / probably should keep him in a lineup. But youre dead on about his bat

JBJ's defense can / probably should keep him in a lineup. But youre dead on about his bat In that lineup, this year? Yeah, they can hide how weak his bat has been for the last 100 games. But next year? We'll just have to wait and see. If they get someone solid to replace Ortiz then maybe that offense doesn't miss a beat. And if that is the case then they can afford to play JBJ everyday. But if the offense takes a step backwards they won't be able to carry JBJ's bat against lefties.

Bradley's odd. Hit.222 vs righties last year. 306 vs lefties. .791 vs righties .918 vs lefties Its flipped this year.

Best defensive outfielder in baseball 20 hrs Longest hit streak in the bigs this year Just having a tough 2nd half and even tougher year vs lefties.

Jackie Bradley is cottons pet troll project. Best defensive outfielder in baseball 20 hrs Longest hit streak in the bigs this year Just having a tough 2nd half and even tougher year vs lefties. And even though is average has dropped he is still putting up some power numbers. I think the consensus around here was if he hit to 50 with 10 home runs in a season he deserves the starting spot because he is such a great Fielder. He has had a great year by anybody's expectations.
