I hope it's Jerry. Too many back-to-backs left (15 or 16) not to have a good back up goalie. They called up DeSmith. So far this year in three games, he has a .98 GAA with one shut out and a .965 Save percentage. Now, from what I understand, it is not easy for an AHL goalie to make the step up to the NHL. They say there is a different rhythm, we'll see. Like I said he can't be any worse. I believe I'd be better than Niemi was and I haven't skated in years.  |

Jacques Plante once said that goaltending was the worst job in the world. Where else can you make one mistake, have a big red light go off behind you and 18,000 people boo? So did the Habs lose that much talent, or is Julien just not that good a coach anymore? |
