They sure pulled the plug fast on DeSmith. Don't know what they saw in the two periods he played, but they must not have liked something. I don't know what it was though. And the D didn't help him any giving up a 2-1 breakaway a few seconds into his debut. I agree. The defense wasn't doing anything and that was one of those games where no matter who is in net the other team is going to score. |

The kid is looking good, but only 8 games in? He's got to stay at that level for a season, before you can really get an idea. See what happens when teams start to game plan for him. |

The Hockey News in their top prospects page said they could write about Elias every week but cause they want to spread it around. C'mon #1 center don['t grow on trees and we got killed at the lottery twice running. We take our victories where we can find 'em and at the 2017 draft it was at pick #5 |

Maybe I've got South of the Border glasses on though. Or I just value teams that actually won cups in modern history (since 1967). |

Spent 4 years in the WHL (he was drafted by New Jersey during this time) then 4 years in AHL. As far as I can see he never played a game in the NHL. At least he's not an ex-Penguin defenseman. Pens have learned their lesson. Stay away from ex-Stars goalies. |
