To the Bold; Ok, Most people? Isnt there like a 1000 little shit cities in the "Bay Area"? I guess there are more Raider fans in San Francisco and vice versa. Why would any owner want to share a stadium? Didnt say blame the city, I said the politicians.Fuck Oakland, they bascially chose baseball over football. Youre right, it doenst matter, idgaf to argue with you guys about it anymore. You guys were all skeptical and talking about how it wasnt likely to happen, and blah blah blah. Now its about who to blame. wgaf. Sin City Raiders has a nice ring to it. Let's see a billion dollar investment that you used 10-12 times a year. That a good enough reason What blame a politician for being fiscally responsible. You have any idea how many emergency personnel (police, fire paramedics, nurses doctors) be hired with 750 Million dollars Baseball no they want a new park too, they may end up in Montreal the way things are going I never said it was unlikely you were saying them were definitely coming and I just showed a few examples of other franchises that were definitely moving and didn't. Until the other owners said yes and they gave them a sweetheart relocation fee of only 300M or so compared to the 650 the Rams and Chargers paid. There still is that obstacle as Davis is equity rich and cash poor, after all his dad stole the team basically, and like the Bengals Brown he isn't part of the billionaires boys club of owners. He is over extended putting this deal together and there is still the possibility, however slim at this point, that the house of cards gets blown over. Saw it happen here when the owner of the Canucks bought the Grizzlies and built an arena with no government money only to watch the Canadian dollar plummet and his money crisis forced him to take on an investor who then forced him out sold the BB team which moved to Memphis, funny the crappy team we had here still drew better that the current competitive team in Memphis, but I digress. The moral is until they sign the actual agreement and the shovel hits the ground there is always a likelihood that the team doesn't make it to Vegas although at this point I'd say less that 10% chance they stay due to some unforeseen circumstance that hasn't reared it's head as of yet. So watch for the formal agreement and shovel ceremony 10-12 times a year? What lousy kind of city could only find use for a new state of the art stadium 10 to 12 times a year? I hear you on the shoves not hitting the dirt yet, but this is not close to a %10 deal. Billionaires don't walk from free money like that, and even Davis did sell the team, Its not going to change things. A new billionaire owner is surely going to want to move forward. It going to happen.

So watch for the formal agreement and shovel ceremony The difference being the A's are aware (and have been for the several years they've been trying to get their own stadium built) that they will be paying for it themselves or with private money. And all that NFL party-line about the A's lease being a roadblock was utter bullshit propagated by the NFL's chorus line of subsidized bloggers. Sin City Raiders? Exactly. Sounds like a team you plan a road trip for so you can go cheer for your team to beat them, right after you watch Britney Spears or your wife drags you to see Cirque de So Gay. You'll never be what the Oakland Raiders were.

I bet Vegas gets NCAA tourney games Okay that one week say every other year Woo Hoo You're right, Vegas is just like St Louis or whatever other city you want to compare it to. Its not like its the entertainment capital of the world or anything. No chance that every major touring event will end up here, in a brand new stadium. Oh, and...

Are your fweewings huwt because of my negative opinion of your seedy, slumping sprawl town? Getting an NFL team isn't going to stop your foreclosure rate or your piss poor educational system. Thanks for making Mark Davis rich. Just what the world needs, a billionaire with a bowl cut.

You're $750 million handout increases the value of his holding in the team, so yes, your tax dollars have enriched him. 2. Anger? About what? I got no dog in this fight. I haven't lived in the Bay Area for 13 years. 3. I have been to your town, and more knowledge of it is something I'm certainly not interested in. Clearly you know nothing of what it means to be a Raiders fan. You see this as a victory over Oakland, which is just sad that you are ignorant of the history and legacy that you're inheriting. I'm afraid the franchise couldn't have been left in worse hands than you and your neighbors'.

Here it is in Nevada speak: Marshawn Lynch is from Oakland, uh uh uh uh, dat's errrr, why he's goigg t' play f' de Raidehs. He will nebeh play a down f' de Las Begas football team. Glad we could clear that up.
