I don't think I have seen this little, I don't know what's the word, enthusiasm?....before a super bowl....in terms of the locals, not the board.
Being in this game has just become the norm.
I'd probably be the same way so not hating.

Patriots QB Tom Brady gets the fans fired up at Gillette Stadium on Monday, with Bill Belichick and Devin McCourty behind him. Mark Stockwell/The Sun Chronicle/AP Photos Some New England Patriots fans arrived as early as 3:30 a.m. ET on Monday to be in place for the team's spirited send-off rally at Gillette Stadium, which kicked off at 9:30 a.m. The rally concluded with quarterback Tom Brady saying, "Now it's starting to feel like the Super Bowl!" At the end of his remarks, Brady yelled, "Go Pats! Let's gooooo!" Brady was the final speaker after Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist Ty Law, owner Robert Kraft, coach Bill Belichick and special-teams captain Matthew Slater. At one point, Brady took his phone out of his pocket and pointed it in the direction of the crowd to capture the moment. Fans chanted, "Brady! Brady! Brady!" -- which has been a familiar chant at home games this season. "I know a lot of you fans were out there at our training camp practices, and we had 20,000 people out there at practice when we started, and it looks like we're getting up there today," Brady told the crowd outside of the team's Hall of Fame at Patriot Place. "It's been a great season, and we've accomplished a lot, but we still have one more to go. It's going to be tough, the toughest one we've had all year. But we're excited about the opportunity, and we couldn't do it without you guys. "As coach tells us, put all that crap that you have to deal with in the drawer, put it all away for one more week, because we need you guys at your best because we need to be at our best. So get your rest this week. Rest up. Hydrate. And get ready for Sunday because it will be a helluva game. Hopefully we see you back in Foxboro with a win."

I'd probably be the same way so not hating. Atlanta is kind of below the radar team......GB vs NE would have been bigger..... Green Bay, Pittsburg & Dallas are the big 'national' teams
so really its just 95% of the country rooting for Atlanta to win, but probably doesn't think they can.

GB vs NE would have been great. i remember when people pulled for the patriots nationally. the little engine that could. now, too many trophies for one building and everyone hates them.

He is really losing his shit I was not talking about the die hard, no job person who has the time to go watch someone get on a plane. I was more talking the overall region....how it has seemingly become the norm and not that big of a deal.

I had the Falcons last, you thought I meant I was most "afraid" of them but I meant it would be the least interesting match up to me....here we are lol

Seems been to the AFC championship game six years in a row. Brady has literally been in the Super Bowl for half of his career.

Yeah, I am not criticizing the fan base in the least......7 sbs in 16 years or whatever and probably the least exciting match up possible, hell i'm sure you have many fans saying "eh, if they lose at least BC Matty I Suck Dick Ryan gets one." Just something I have noticed in the last week, few SBs ago there would be flags in every fucking lawn, banners, bumper stickers, Brady jerseys out the ass.....every time you try and say "hello" to someone all they do is talk superbowl. Not so much of that this time.

Did the Patriots come with him? The story of this game is the legacy of the Brady Bella check patriots. You can say that any words that you want. You can use it to try to troll or whine all you want. Anybody who follows the NFL knows that this is about the Brady and Bella check patriot dynasty on the cusp of accomplishing something but no franchise in the history of the sport has ever done.

I'm only watching the game though, been that way for a while now...I used to watch a good chunk of the pregame coverage on gameday after I picked up the rest of the items from the grocery store/everyone's weed order...
