Alex Smith started the Pro Bowl
Andy Dalton was his backup
LMAO
"I always thought the Chiefs were the team to beat in the AFC" - Dirt one week ago. I know Im always winning, when lies have to be told to try and prove me wrong
"I think KC matches up best with NE because of their ability to rush the passer, but NE would still beat them"
So actually nothing like what you quoted me saying

It's not the Pats' fault that there were no other good teams in the AFC this year. Alex Smith started the Pro Bowl
Andy Dalton was his backup
LMAO

Snow Guns calm down enjoy the ride I'm very calm. I'm trying my best to settle the dust with Dirt so that we can get to a normal level of discourse the rest of the week. Pats had an easy road, they better than Atlanta too... easy enough really

I imagine the Falcons D will look like the Steelers did "I thought you had that guy" id be disappointed if guys are just running free
I see something more along the lines of No Pass Rush, and Brady being at his best dink and dunk best, absolutely picking them apart

I will take that could also be a pound Blount game, keep Matty ice and his amazings on the bench

Ultimately, if you have a ready-made reason for why New England would beat each of the 31 other teams in the NFL, does it really matter which ones they beat?

Who said that? well you've already said that nobody in the AFC was going to beat them. You've got them rolling over the team that just rolled over the NFC. So who is going to be them then?

In New England, no one was beating them although I liked the structure of the Chiefs as far as how they would have matched up.....I predicted for 3 months they would annihilate the Steelers
In the NFC, we will see......Rodgers with a healthy cast of characters, can beat anyone, but their defense can lose to anyone....Dallas was really really good, but ran into some shit luck..An Atlanta @ Dallas NFC title game would have been fun........And the Giants of course would have beaten the Pats, but they had too much work to do to get there...And Seattle already did beat the Pats....
I just don't love the Falcons and how they matchup here.....Ive never loved Ryan, but have to respect how great he was this season....He's gonna have to prove me wrong that he can continue his greatness vs Bill Belichick

Funny stuff about this discussion...All my years here, Ive predicted the Pats to lose so many times, sometimes right, sometimes wrong, but always accused of just being a "hater" because of that prediction
I predict they would destroy the Steelers, and win against Atlanta, and I still get criticized for it

I think of every team in the NFC, the Falcons are the only ones who can keep it close vs the Patriots in a game where the Pats don't make mistakes. I'm sorry, but the Patriots defense that lost to Seattle is not the same defense we've seen over the past 3 months. I thought Pittsburgh and Atlanta were the two teams in the league that had the offense to hang with New England. Now I didn't think Pittsburgh was going to win, and I don't think Atlanta is going to win. But, those were the top 2 teams I didn't want to face in the playoffs.

I actually agree, and its why I liked the Chiefs more than the Steeelers, and why I don't like the Falcons here
And its the same defense, its just that Seattle was the only good offense they faced
The other halfway decent offense they faced were the Ravens, who went up and down field all night on the Pats defense

Stop trying to win and just keep it real. My only problem with these talks is when you devolve into circular nonsense and double-standards. I don't argue that they played an easy schedule. I also don't think that too many teams played exceptionally hard schedules, because most of the NFL sucks the dick. So I don't think that the schedule is why they're here. The Pats played a quarter of the season without Brady, and half the season without Gronk. For years you called Gronk the most important non-QB in the NFL. So, if we get to have Gronk back, I'll give any team their injured player of their choice back too.

You don't think Brady is overrated. You expect him to go out and win a Super Bowl on Sunday. Your actions, speak louder than words. You bet heavy on the Patriots, in spite of being critical of their defense all season, and that same defense facing Julio Jones, Matt Ryan (MVP) and the #1 offense in football. You're betting that money, because you expect Tom Brady to beat the league MVP and outscore the #1 offense in the league. Let's be friends. We both expect the same outcome.
