They are facing the number one offense in the league. They have a defense the dirt has called unproven and untested all season. But he is loading up on them anyway. You know what that tells me? Dirt expects Tom Brady to have a mammoth game on Sunday.well, he should. Falcons D is really young, should be able to have to make them think not just react. I dont really buy they "stopped the Packers". The Packers did a good job of that themselves imo.Exactly....And don't underestimate the strength of a home crowd and how it helps a defense play above their heads a bit

I don't know why you wouldn't just use 4 guys to cover Edelman on Sunday
Nothing makes me Shake my head more than him being open on those 5 yard crossers, 85 times a game
Makes ya wonder "What the fuck were they practicing for 2 weeks"

I think that defense is on its way, but need more personnel........Neal, Beasley, Jones, and that one corner are very good...But wont be enough

Nothing else makes sense. Are you saying that your narrative All Season that they're only here because they didn't play any great quarterbacks was a lie? Do we need Rock to go back the past several weeks and dig up some of your opinions about how Matt Ryan is the MVP? Now all of a sudden that they're playing the guy at quarterback that you called The League MVP and you are so confident that the Patriots are going to roll that you bet heavy on them? Doesn't that sort of fly in the face of everything you said that you believed about New England all season long? LOL
What are you going to do when Matt Ryan wins the MVP?
I love how you imply its ONLY an opinion on this board, while everyone around the NFL is saying he will run away with the award
Answer the question, please.

no one posted stories about that 6 weeks ago. link? When I would bring this up during the season, snoogins would tell me I'm wrong and post links to tom saying he wanted to play until that age. Yes. In a related story, this has only come up in the past 24 hours

Same links Snoogins posted approximately six weeks ago. Now suddenly 'he's retiring'.
Using every conceivable angle to hump up the Patriot's pending victory in Sunday's Stupor Bowl.

My interest in the game will be the block pool I'm in. Bill will walk through that game and own the falcons. It's what he does, except to NY.

YES New England got HF adavantage and got to the Super Bowl because of their weak opponents, having to beat only awful Houston and average Pitt to get here
YES I think they win the SB because of the way they match up, because I think Atlantas defense stinks, and Matt Ryan on this stage will have to make a believer out of me
YES Matt Ryan will be the MVP of the league
YES YES YES

What difference does it make who they played to get here? You can't get any tougher than the #1 offense, with the #1 quarterback featuring the #1 receiver. So if you have this game as a cake-walk, then clearly you don't think the Patriots are only here because of their opponents. I'm sorry, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.

Them matching up well in this game...
Does not mean that if they had a tough schedule, or anything close to it:
A - They would get Homefield advantage, something history tells us they need to get to the SB
B - Even be in this game
So yes, it can be both ways

But as Zig pointed out, they didn't stop Green Bay as much as Green Bay stopped themselves....A missed FG and Fumble on the 5 absolutely changed that entire game
And I think playing at home helps a lot for a young defense........I hope youre right
And they do have the worst, absolute worst defense in the Red Zone in the NFL

History tells you they need homefield advantage to get to the SB? You need to check your history. They've knocked off three #1 seeds on the road in the playoffs. They've also been beaten at home by the Ravens twice and the Jets once.

When have they won on the road in the AFC Title game?
At Colts maybe?
I really don't remember

Further, nobody has denied they had an easy schedule. But isn't beating up bad teams and winning the games you're supposed to win.... something that all great teams do? Yup... by and large the NFL is loaded with crappy teams and crappy QBs and stupid coaches right now. Yes. But why do the Patriots have to be criticized for having a good team with a good QB and a good coach? Why does it have to be our fault that 90% of the organizations in the league are incompetent and we're not? Do we really think that any team in the AFC would have given us a game? Of course not. So let's look at the NFC. You don't think Bill Belichick could come up with a way to stop the one man show? Of course you know he would. Dallas? Is a team lead by Jason Garrett and a rookie QB your pick for the team that would have beaten the Patriots? Nobody is disputing the easy schedule. But if you're going to dismiss the Falcons too, then pretending that any other team in the league was going to give us a game is just silly.

They did it twice in Pittsburgh. Also knocked off the 14-2 Chargers in San Diego in 2006. Was the divisional round, not the AFCCG though.
