I expect New England to hold Pittsburgh under 20 points this weekend. I think the Steelers offense is overrated. They've been up and down, inconsistent. Four regular season games under 20, three of those on the road. Last week - another road game - they clearly couldn't finish a drive and were fortunate to have their defense bail them out. Roethlisberger did not look sharp last week. I don't see how any of that improves playing in Foxborough, playing against a team that already held them to 16 points in Pittsburgh earlier this year (aka the Steelers offense's worst home performance). As long as Tom Brady plays like regular season Tom Brady and not that beta bitch who showed up vs Houston last week, it's gonna be a fucking route. Im with ya on all accounts "i bet you didnt know landry jones something something did you!"

That is great analysis......you do know that Landry Jones was the QB for that game don't you?.......
well, now you do.
Did not. Doesn't change my opinion. Not after what I saw last week. He wasn't great, but wasn't terrible. Was pretty decent on 3rd downs to keep drives going if I remember correctly, but not great in the red zone.(I didn't care for the redzone play calling either though) Not playing against the Chiefs defense this week, he should look a little better, and score more points.

I'd like to take Pittsburgh just to be a contrarian.
But I just can't do it.
Just want to see a game that is worth a damn.

Note to Steelers. #15 is a legal receiver. Might want to cover him. With someone.

Soft zones and no cover skills... all these guys do is chase receivers anymore.

Oh, I just woke up in the middle of another "exciting" day of postseason football.
What? 33-9 Patriots.
Wake me up if anything interesting happens in two weeks in Houston.

watching NFLN highlights of the AFCCG, even the Steelers players were saying "shit he was down" on the Brady "fumble" It was def. a fumble, the second set of replays showed that.......the first did not. Where the whole thing got fucked up, and Nantz didn't clarify this until late in the 4th quarter, they were talking over the ref when he was announcing the challenge. So Nantz then says: "There is a challenge on the play of a fumble and the ref has said there is a clear Pitt recovery if there is actually a fumble." They come back from commercial and announce: "There is no clear recovery, the play stands as called." Which left Nantz, Simms and most of the viewers quite confused as to how there was a clear recovery and now there is not a clear recovery. Late in the 4th quarter Nantz says: "And to clarify the fumble play, the ref did not say there was a clear recovery, he said we are going to review if there was a clear recovery." Kinda a piece of shit move by CBS not clarifying all of that for us asap. I am assuming Nantz and Simms had no idea what the ref said, one of the spotters told Nantz the wrong info.

And to me, that's awful coaching by Tomlin.
I don't know if I have ever seen a play go into a challenge with no clear recovery and come out of the challenge with a clear recovery.
At that point, you don't challenge the play.
Also kinda shitting officiating, let the play, play out. Determine who recovered the fumble, and at that point announce that the call is "Brady is down by contact." At least you have established who recovered the fumble if you were incorrect about the call.
I realize they are in a tough position though.......on one hand, you want the right call made on every play. On the other hand, you want these officials out there looking out for players safety.

Yeah, it definitely wasn't anything. Stop listening to Jim Nantz tell you your anger angles. We all watched the replays about 47 times. It definitely wasn't anything but "completely inconclusive." the right call was made. the better team won.

It definitely wasn't anything but "completely inconclusive." the right call was made. the better team won. There was a clear fumble snoogs. There was no clear recovery. That's really not debatable. To clear up confusion on the Tom Brady fumble: There was in fact a fumble. But referee Terry McAulay ruled that there was no clear Steelers recovery, reverting the ball to the Patriots. And the replay did not show any conclusive evidence of a Steelers recovery, even though it was clear that Brady fumbled. So, the ruling on the field stood.

The prob is you heard what Nance said the official said but you didnt hear what the official actually said. The official said the Steelers were claiming they made a recovery, official did not say the Steelers had made a clear recovery. Nance heard wrong or mis understood.
