People get upset with these cuts from Tull's "Aqualung" because they are stupid.
He is not repudiating Jesus and God, just the religious "Zealots" who interpret things in their own sordid way.
My late father always said, "I have no issues with Jesus or the disciples, just his "servants" that remain on Earth.".

Aqualung was one of my favorite albums all time, and My God is my favorite song off the album. I've always seen it not as a jab at Christ as much as at the Catholic church.

For real SCB...but it was actually a jab at the "Bloody Church of England'... which is Episcopal, yet by extension you are correct because Episcopal is just about "British Catholic". I know. My entire family save for my "Heathen" brother and me, were born in England.

Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter I don't know if that was a request or not, filosofy, but whether it was or wasn't, certainly worth posting. Superb.

Ok, been binging on this shit here for the last little bit. The more I hear, the more I like it! Great concept, and really great exposure to some of the old style popular music, for any younger folk that give a crap about music history.

Almost 4 hours of beer buzz happiness there. Enjoy, man. Enjoy like a motherfucker. We did ! My poor Wife had to deal with us downstairs "singing" (phrase used very liberally) for quite some time. Lucky for her the shots of whisky eventually caught up and we had to remain seated . One cannot beer bash air guitar sing and howl like a rockstar genius while drunkenly seated .

I will NEVER get tired of this! I can still remember the first time I heard it. Musicland at the mall in Gulfport Mississippi. I looked around and asked what the hell this was. A buddy from Kentucky I was stationed with told me that once a month on their weekend Sunday show, the Statlers would break out Roadhog and the Cowboys. I bought this album immediately. A couple of weeks later I bought "Then And Now". I have the entire collection.
