OK, I'm back. The Pens surprised me by knocking off the Rags in 5 and now they split with the Caps in Washington. Could be an interesting series.
The league is going to be looking at Orpik's "hit" on Maatta. Any thoughts? I'm thinking summary execution, but I might be a little biased.
I'm just guessing, but the league will probably fine Maatta for using his face to hit Orpik's elbow.

What really got me was when the douche bag argued with the Ref over getting a penalty for knocking out Maatta.

I'm stunned. That is a huge suspension during the playoffs, but the hit was late, he targeted the head, and Maatta is still being evaluated for a concussion.

Well the Pens hang on, largely thanks to Murray, but they are up 2 games to 1 after being outshot 49 - 23. The biggest thing that's bothering me is how many games Letang is going to get for his hit. I'm thinking at least one, but you never know.

Oh, I'm sure he will repeatedly point out how much the Penguins miss "Christopher Letang" so he'll get the name in that way.

Okay, Letang got a game for the hit. That's what I was thinking it was worth. Caps fans are probably outraged, but Johanson only missed the last 4 minutes of the period and then came back. Unlike Maatta who is still out.
Letang is dirty, and that was a cheap shot. Bothered me when he was arguing the call just like Orpik did.

Doesn't seem like the Pens missed "Christopher Letang" very much tonight. Looked a lot like last game, with the same outcome. Loved it when Hornqvist 5 holed Holtby!

Evgeny Kuznetsov 2 points in the playoffs,. That's Mats Naslund like Full Profile , Since Sullivan took over the Pens have never been this sloppy with the puck. I'll give the Caps credit for pressure, but the Pens are just turning over the puck like crazy. The Caps have missed so many wide open nets its ridiculous. One of these times they are going to start converting on these chances and their going to bury the Pens. Speaking of burying the Wilkes-Barre Pens beat the Hershey Bears (Caps affiliate) 4 - 0 last night in Hershey to open the second round of the Calder Cup playoffs.

Pens go up 3-1.
Capitals are a bunch of dogs no matter how well they perform in any regular season.
One dog got a goal at least...(Beagle).

How many times do teams win the President's trophy and then exit the playoffs early? Second, for some reason the Pens just have a way of beating the Caps in the playoffs. I think the Pens have won 7 of 8 playoff series against the Caps. Its a little like the way the Flyers have a way of beating the Pens.

The Red Wings are probably the most notorious team to suffer the President's trophy and bow out of the playoffs early. Maybe it got worse yet beginning back in '93 yet because since then President = Bettman and nobody likes his ass!

The last face off in the Penguin zone with 6 seconds to go. And when the puck popped out to Lidstrom I knew it was all over. They were going to OT and the Wings would win it. I couldn't believe it when Fluery made the save. Permit me to reminisce a little.
