Should the Braves fire Gonzalez? They won't if they win the division but if they don't I think he's gone. I'd get rid of him right now. I think he sucks. he gets a mulligan for this year. I think he is doing a hell of a job. considering he didn't sign Uggla or BJ and he didn't injure half of the pitching staff He makes poor decisions. Why does he still have BJ batting second, for instance? Why does he not know when to change pitchers and when not to? Why does he never have the Braves play small ball when they are having problems scoring? I'm afraid the Braves' front office will give him a mulligan for this year. Just don't complain to me if he actually gets his players playing well and then makes bonehead calls that cost us a championship. But I do think that if he lets the Nats win this division he should be fired. Mediocre baseball is Gonzalez's game.

Braves will go as far as starting pitching can carry them this year. The offense has had a pretty good spring this year, other than Elvis Gattis. Even BJ Upton is hitting a little bit.
Alex Wood should have a decent year if he makes the rotation. Ervin Santana should have a very good year if 'Good Ervin' shows up. Teheran is going to be a CY candidate this year.
Braves should be able to challenge Washington for division dominance, but they can't afford to lose another starting pitcher. They need to acquire some depth there.
Damn I'm wicked smaht.

Sticking BJ Upton in the leadoff spot is one thing it seems that Gonzalez got right. “He had a big two-run triple, hit a home run, got on base, stole some bases, scored some runs,” Gonzalez said. “He’s done it before, so he’s got that experience. He seems to be getting some big hits for us. “I like (Jason) Heyward in the middle of the lineup. Why not try somebody who hasn’t done it (this season)? When I came up to (Upton) in Washington and said we were thinking about doing it, he had a big smile on his face. We didn’t break it out ‘till Houston.” www.ajc.com/news/sports/baseball/gonzalez-to-stick-with-bj-upton-in-lead-off-spot-f/ngWyd/

I would have batted him 8th personally. I still think he sucks.

Braves just dropped their 5th straight. Kimbrel walked the bases loaded and lost last night's game in the 12th to a walk off single.
When is Gonzales going to bench Upton for Bonifacio? Kid hits .280 and plays a mean CF. BJ needs to be parked on the bench and used as a pinch runner until his contract expires then he needs to get fired.
Bonifacio was a good pick-up for the Braves and Upton has had too many chances to get better already. I say time to bench him.

Now that the Braves have to play against the best teams in both leagues we will find out just how much of a fake they really are. Just lost to the Dodgers for the 4th consecutive time this year. When you can't hit you suck. I can't believe we are going to lose this division to a team as sorry as the Nats.

Freddy "Cheech & Chong" Gonzalez is watching this team go Up in Smoke. You can stick a fork in the '14 Braves. They're done.

Braves might get the 2nd wild card with an 85-77 record. I think the 87 Twins had the same record, not sure. Cardinals won in 06 with 83 wins.

OK, so the Braves front office figured out what the problem this past season....they needed a new 3rd base coach. Fucking hello Bo Porter.
