Well, none of the Atlanta franchises want to spend enough money to build a dynasty. Hopefully Arthur Blank will change that with the Falcons. We shall see.

Braves will go as far as starting pitching can carry them this year. The offense has had a pretty good spring this year, other than Elvis Gattis. Even BJ Upton is hitting a little bit.
Alex Wood should have a decent year if he makes the rotation. Ervin Santana should have a very good year if 'Good Ervin' shows up. Teheran is going to be a CY candidate this year.
Braves should be able to challenge Washington for division dominance, but they can't afford to lose another starting pitcher. They need to acquire some depth there.

Justin Upton hit his 3rd homer of the year last night and the Braves beat the Nats in 10 innings.
Julio Teheran is batting .286 and needs to be moved up in the batting order when he pitches. LOL

Unbelievable. Braves win on a bloop single with enough backspin to bounce back towards the infield so Harper had no chance on the throw Good call on sending the runner so Schafer was able to score easily. I doubt Harper would have gotten him if he had fielded the ball cleanly and made a good throw. Would have been fun to see, though. |
