Just means we owe him more and more.... One o' des days, he's gonna come to collect a small debt....and when he does, he will expect to be paid... Good thing I got the hell out of that e-money sucking stock market then. My gazillions are better served collecting that .25% instead.

Much more of an observation than complaint, and just being curious but, are a large majority of the folks that came here from FFN mostly puck heads? It sure seems that way, for whatever reason that may be. It just strikes me odd in a way, because in my many years on several message boards, I deal with mostly baseball fans, and some football fans, but rarely do I deal with big hockey fans. I rolled into Fan Nation because I was looking for a place to post my tepid Cowboys opinions back in 2009. Had some good mentors back then (RIP Cowboy Dave) and started branching out. As a die hard Stars fan, I poked my head into the hockey threads from time to time. Met Canuck through a shared interest in a certain band from Rainbow Valley and found my way into the like-minded businessmen who for some strange reason found a Texas hockey fan amusing enough to keep me around. I am a Texas Rangers fan who had the privilege (and a little disposable income) of taking my grandsons to Game 4 of the 2010 World Series. Bucket list item that the boys still talk about to this day. They even remember that Madison Bumgarner dominated our heroes that night. Was crushed in 2011 and hope they can piece together a starting rotation that can compete this year. After running through 40+ pitchers last year - it can't possibly get worse. Love the Mavs too... as crushed as I was with the Rangers that year, the Mavs made up for it with that unexpected run. Dirk is my man crush. Dude has been a pleasure to watch over the last 15 years and makes it easy to enjoy the NBA. But - I'm a diehard Cowboys fan til I croak... And even afterward. Already paid for the box when I go on to the next plain. It's silver and metallic blue. Like Otis, a diehard Cowboy fan. Was raised in Southeastern NM and all we got on TV were the Cowboys (in the 60's so it was their startup)...used to be able to name the entire starting lineup for those 0-11/1-10 teams....Ralph Neely and The Holding Company was the O-line. BIG Sooner fan...but have hooked onto MSST since moving to Mississippi. Actually have developed more into a CFB fan than NFL. Moved from Dallas before they got the Stars and the Mavs were still new, IIRC. My wife and I dated going to the Ranger games back when they played in the old Triple A stadium. Back then it was $2 to park and $2 for bleacher seats in Right Field. Sunny was the catcher and Ferguson Jenkins and Gaylord Perry were pitchers. My wife was really pumped when they traded for Willie Stargell, but I think that was just because it was a name she knew. We had a SemiPro Hockey team down here (Miss Seawolves) that played in the East Coast Hockey League...affiliated with the Ducks I think.

I didn't really care one way or the other, but my wife was excited. She knew his name from where she lived before we got married. Meh

And wasn't implying that all of those players were together. If you got that from what I wrote then I apologize for not being more concise. But no biggie my friend

My pro football team has the same colors Otis, but nobody will ever have to worry about me being put in a silver and blue box (LOL). Maybe a blue and orange box, but not silver and blue. Here we are on the day of the Super Bowl. That team in Dallas has a proud history. Mine has a history of ineptitude. Never even sniffed a Super Bowl. They went 11-5 this past season, but if they do not keep Suh in the fold (or if they simply franchise him), and draft many more players like Eric "Couldn't catch a cold" Ebron, they could flip that to 5-11 given the 2015 schedule.

Fergie jenkins! Now there is a blast from the past. Great pitcher and a guy who definitely had some times off the field. In 1980 the old Canadian born star had some splainin' to do. Jenkins was found possessing 3.0 grams cocaine, 2.2 grams hashish, and 1.75 grams marijuana.
And a arbitrator let him off and MLB could do nothing about it.

The great thing about the current era of the NFL is that any team with competent management can compete. Of course, that "competent management" thing can be a little tough to find too as we all know. As close as the Lions are right now - this offseason is going to define them. Mayhew is going to earn every penny of his salary in the next few months. And yeah - drafting more "Ebrons" ain't gonna do it.

Went down to the old Arlington Stadium in the 80/81 time frame to watch him against the Royals. I believe he was credited with a third of an inning and 10 runs. He was also credited with me emptying my wallet at a nearby beer stand from which I got incredibly drunk. So did my brother-in-law who lost his wallet and my best friend who started hitting on an extremely pregnant woman. Good times.
