An 11 Year old is about to suit up for the LPGA Tour..
Jim Irsay still isn't suspended by Goodell...
Texas residents wasted $60M on a HS football stadium in 2012 and the stadium is now closed due to crumbling concrete...

They only had that mid-west basketball shit on last night..Yuck...Jk...Hell of a game...OKC doesn't really have a chance without Ibaka...KD and Westbrook looked drained in the 4th... Spurs basketball is so far from boring, can't believe people still cling to that...

In theaters now is “Million Dollar Arm,” Disney’s version of Rinku Singh and Dinesh Kumar Patel’s unlikely journey from game show winners in India to minor league pitchers in the United States. Jerry Crasnick of ESPN has their story.
Along the way, Crasnick tells us that, though their major league baseball dreams didn’t materialize, one of them did get to experience something many, many major league pitchers have lately: Tommy John surgery for Singh:
Last summer, Singh experienced another ritual that’s become increasingly more commonplace among young American and Latino males in his new profession: He underwent Tommy John surgery on his left elbow. Like Matt Harvey, Jose Fernandez and so many other All-Stars/household names, Singh is dealing with the emotional and physical fallout of an ulnar collateral ligament tear. He’ll spend this summer rehabbing in an effort to return to the playing field in 2015. In this case, I do not think we can realistically look at the subject being overworked in highly-competitive youth traveling leagues as the culprit.

Kind of weird how kids "want" it now even in HS and College. Everybody is just looking for the one big payday/contract.....don't care about longevity in the sport I guess?

My fantasy advice: take Pablo Sandoval off of your bench (or pick him off the scrap heap if you're in a small enough league). He's been heating up recently and he's headed off to Colorado.

I myself would hold on getting or starting Pablo. He has had a good 7-8 day run, but, has been so bad before that, that I will need him to show me a bit more for my faith in him to be restored.

The folks @cigarcitybeer announce Homefront IPA, a beer aged on Louisville Slugger maple bats. Cigar City hopes to brew 800 barrels of the baseball bat aged beer. Proceeds donated to Operation Homefront. All I know about Cigar City Beer is that I had a bunch of their stuff in Tampa when I was down at spring training and it was just wonderful, beautiful and phenomenal beer. All I know about Louisville Slugger maple bats is that, until about a year ago, we used to worry about them shattering a lot and writing think pieces about how we need to switch back to ash or make bat condoms to keep them from shattering. All I know about Operation Homefront is that supporting the families of deployed service members is an insanely worthy cause, and that that’s what they do.
But despite my limited expertise here, I am going to predict that this will be a win if, for no other reason, than it benefits said insanely worthy cause. And because I bet the bottles will be really cool.

So, Drew is back with the Red Sox. Meaning Bogaerts moves back to 3B, and Middlebrooks gets demoted or traded.

However, my extreme involvement in fantasy baseball over the last 24 years kind of killed that. Now, I am well more a fan of the game itself than I am "only" A Dodger fan.

ATLANTA — The Minnesota Vikings' new $1 billion stadium doesn't open for more than two years, but it already has the NFL's premier event on its schedule.
Owners chose the Twin Cities' bid for Super Bowl LII in early 2018 over pitches from New Orleans and Indianapolis at the NFL's spring meetings Tuesday in Atlanta.
It will be the second Super Bowl in Minneapolis, which also hosted Super Bowl XXVI at the recently demolished Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome on Jan. 26, 1992, a Mark Rypien-led Washington Redskins victory over the Buffalo Bills.
The Vikings will play the next two seasons at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota before moving into their new building in fall 2016. The team secured substantial public funding for the project last year after roughly a decade of trying, and the NFL has made a point to reward communities that contribute to stadiums.
