And they have several characters that were in Lonesome Dove from what I can see.

that looks to be another great show from the History Channel! I hate all their reality crap shows, but when then have a legit show, they do it like a boss, so I am looking forward to that one.

I was on a plane once for 14 hrs straight and swore I would never do that again. And, I haven't.

Set my DVR last night. It'll catch all of these little 6 minute vignettes leading up to the broadcast as well.
How the hell did we live without DVR's? Seriously?

Set my DVR last night. It'll catch all of these little 6 minute vignettes leading up to the broadcast as well. How the hell did we live without DVR's? Seriously? It changed the way I live AND watch TV. I always had 2 VCRs and could time shift with those but it isn't the same. Now I couldn't give a monkey's arse what day a show is on. I rarely watch anything live. And those silly playoff Saturdays when the Yanks insist on hockey in the AM don't bother me one little bit. Mine can record 6 things at once so it's way over the top. I had an idea back in 1985/86 when the IBM AT (12 mhz!!) was king. Getting somebody to write the software to "corral" all available TV programming on a hard drive so one could select what they wished to view. OF course processor speed and memory capacity wouldn't have existed at the time but I should have explored thepossibilities of a patent or something at the time.
