just meant I'm drinking coffee, not beer. I'm not working today f that lol LOL! Guess we all equate coffee+PC=work drudgery. I so do love the tablet. there's a similar smiley where he's reading the paper and sipping the coffee. I made that one kind of famous on another site I used to post on. Somehow it ended up meaning like a sarcastic "Whatever..." type thing due to me using it so much but it really just reminded me of me lol...doing this shit and sitting at the pc (now that papers are pretty much obsolete) having my joe ha ha the way his mouth moves still cracks me up

anybody see that Bruce Jenner show on ABC last night? that shit was ridiculous, you have all that $$ and you're 60-years-old yet you wanna change to be a female? it's a damn shame I don't understand what the money has to do with it. Are poor people better candidates for gender changes? Would you rather have the finest surgeons in the world change your gender... or would you prefer me? Dr. Quackenbush at your service. I work cheap.

I require my coffee and my Dallas Morning News PAPER every morning. The day is a complete mess unless those two requirements are met.

Bryant Jennings did Philly Boxing proud last night. Dude wasn't going to beak Klitchko... and didn't - but he sure as hell didn't embarrass himself either. Took that vaunted jab most of the fight and gave plenty back... and won a few rounds and a whole bunch of fans in the process. Dude has serious heart and made what most saw as a mismatch going in a competitive and interesting fight.
There's hope in the heavyweight division.

Possibly... the good news is its getting much more exposure due to NBC putting it on prime time. Ratings are positive. Just need good matches and good boxers.

Not if ppvs are going to start costing $100.

Every morning I get 1 to 3 notices that a team has won and made it to the 2nd round of the hockey playoffs. Seems like so far about 100 have made it that far....how many freaking teams get into the playoffs? Anyone with a record over .500?

$90 for a PPV is highway robbery. They should charge by the round. They'd make a killing on this fight then. I think it goes the distance.

Charging by the round would create too great a temptation for boxers to just dance around in the early rounds to ensure the bout goes far enough for them to earn enough revenue (PPV Buys) to cover their payday. Boxing already has a big problem with fixing scandals and allegations it doesn't need a situation ready made for shady actions.

Just as it begins to look like they might actually start looking like they are coming out of those dark ages with the new TV exposure - they don't need that.

We used to pay around $30 for Mike Tyson fights. Most would last maybe 60 seconds lol. Same thing almost every time- "what a rip off!"...

The Spinks fight was the one that pissed me off the most. Spinks stalled coming out for damn near 15 to 20 minutes. I was actually glad Tyson took his ass out in 93 seconds.

A local bar where I'm from used to show the Tyson fights with no cover charge. All it cost was the cost of a few beers which back then were well under $2 per bottle. A group of my friends used to meet up at the bar and order food that we shared. Good Times!!!
