We sort of have a couple other Rams fans. 1 (BigD)is here quite a lot but is more of a baseball fan...and another 1 (Rocks Daddy) that due to his new job cant come around as much.

If they were the greatest show on turf and are now in LA, can I call them " Surf and Turf?"

Yeah Goff would be the better choice in terms of marketing but is he really worth all the picks the Rams gave away?

The Rams have one of the most dysfunctional organizations in the NFL. For some reason there are lots of Rams fans at Sports Hoopla.

Yeah Goff would be the better choice in terms of marketing but is he really worth all the picks the Rams gave away? Stan is a bit maniacal. Of course it isn't worth it. They've been busy dumping players for several years to get out of STL. They've had the youngest team in the league for 4 straight years. My guess is he's willing to develop that youth for 1-2 years, and start with the piece at QB to go along with Gurley. It's a win-in-2017/18 philosophy just in time to fill a stadium. That's why he's willing to dump 2 drafts, essentially. I get it that the owner wants to fill that new stadium and trading up for a #1 pick for a quality QB is a good move when considering that.. But Why wouldn't they make a deal for kaepernik? He has skills, been in the league a few years, been to the super bowl.. Seems to me he would make the Ram offense better immediately. Kaepernik can run and defenses would have to make plans for that. I think that would make Gurley that much more dangerous..

The Rams gave up alot for the Titans #1 pick.. All of that for Wentz? It may well be Goff. Regardless, it is a lot to give up for choosing between two guys would neither would have been the first two QBs in last years draft. Goff is the safe bet and fisher needs safe. He has to be the HC with the worst record for years now that did not get fired. And yes, it falls on him after all these years.

Some organizations just continue to make bad decisions and the Rams are one of them.

I disagree with you guys.. I think Kaepernik has some game left in the tank. Last years 49ers team was awful and I doubt ANYONE on that team was willing to put out 110% on the field, especially with a no name interim coach. So.. predictably, Kaepernik had a bad year. I think the Rams should have kept all of their draft picks, made a deal for kaepernik and drafted wisely to be sure to field a competitive team for the first few years in L.A.

I think the Rams should have kept all of their draft picks, made a deal for kaepernik and drafted wisely to be sure to field a competitive team for the first few years in L.A. I think he's fine, athletically. I don't think it was a lack of effort that made the 49ers suck, offensively. It was two-fold: a. Tomusula is awful and b. his drop-back passing game is merely average. Teams learned to scheme his running and attack from many angles. The read-option blossomed for a short time and withered once DCs solved it. he's a primary read-option QB and that's going to go the way of the 46 defense and run-and-shoot. teams will have a few situation read-option plays, but as a base offense, it's no longer effective. He's a system QB for a broken system. Nice post, I get it now. I have to ask... what the heck is the 46 defense??

Looks like that 46 defensive schemed worked well if you had multiple pass rushers that could get to the qb quickly, if not, it hung the secondary out to dry! No wonder it didn't last.

For what it is worth......less than 5% of QBs drafted from round three on ever become NFL starters going back to 2000. ( regularly). Around 40% of those drafted in rounds one or two ever do. The Rams and Eagles and any other teams really have little choice but to go for it if that is what you need. Brady and Romo are the exception, not the rule. You are more likely to draft a Ryan Mallet at best ( third round ).

Great news for Rams fans. I know Dan Reeves doesn't like it Fisher was only a pair of losses away from being ther losingest coach in NFL history. Looks like Reeves will own it for a while longer
