Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio have been elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Baseball writers elected four players for the first time since 1955, with Martinez, Johnson and Smoltz earning induction on the first try Tuesday. Biggio made it on the third attempt after falling two votes shy last year. The quartet will be inducted in Cooperstown on July 26. They really need to revise the system to fit the reality. Only on the ballot now for ten years I think. Guys as deserving as Biggio are going to be left out. |

Not sure people know just how great Raines was. He had a higher base stealing percentage of success than Ricky Henderson. Second best led off hitter of his era-to henderson. Martinez was among the best in the game for extended period of time. Hey, Musina won all those games pitching in the steroid loaded AL East full of nasty hitting teams all those years and still won. A lot. Who knows who was using then. A dam lot of em, we know that. At least 103 and you know it was more. the HOF is a friggin mess now in my opinion. |
