Most Offensively Improved team in the NFL, based on ranking of points scored on offensive: Team/offense points ranking in 2012/offense points ranking in 2013/difference Philadelphia Eagles: 27th/2nd/ +25 Kansas City Chiefs: 32nd/11th/ +21 Chicago Bears: 21st/7th/ +14 San Diego Chargers: 22nd/9th/ +13 Arizona Cardinals: 31st/19th/ +12 Dallas Cowboys: 16th/5th/ +11 Indianapolis Colts: 19th/12th +7

Your All 'Someone Needs to Drug Test These Guys' Team:
Catcher - Matt Wieters: After waiting five to live up to the hype he came into the league with, Wieters is finally doing it at age 28. This year his OPS is 127 points higher than his previous career high.
First Base - Albert Pujols: This guy has been cheating for years but it's probably never been more obvious than this year. He found the fountain of youth, did he? I guess that is one word for it.
Second Base - Chase Utley: 35 years old, has no cartilage left in his knees and is suddenly having his best year since 2009?
Shortstop - Alexei Rameriz: After six years of mediocrity he is suddenly having an all star type year.
Third base - Kevin Kouzmanoff: Didn't play at the MLB level in 2012 nor 2013 and is suddenly having a career year at age 34.
Left Field - Melky Cabrera: Pretty obvious that he is back on the shit.
Center Field - Charlie Blackmon: After playing in minor league obscurity for years, he has literally come out of nowhere to be a .400 at age 28?
Right Field - Chris Colabello: Twinkies guy has come out of nowhere at age 30 to be a lead league in RBI, hit .360 and put up a .960 OPS?
DH - Adam Dunn: Dunn is hitting .304. Enough said.

Glad I "got stuck with him" in 2 leagues. He's ranked [HASH]3 for the year. Won't last but so far he's about my only bright spot.

There does seem to be some "new stars" rising up lately, more than usual. Time for a 100% drug testing.

You didn't do many of the "worst". Pats must of been down there somewhere.

Falcons sucked. They had better be better this year or Mike Smith is going to get some concrete shoes. LOL

You didn't do many of the "worst". Pats must of been down there somewhere. Pats went from 1st to 3rd. Not significant enough to deserve mentioning. After Atlanta, the next biggest dropoff was San Francisco who went from 11th to 15th and Cleveland who went from 25th to 29th.

so basically good teams got a new qb or wr for the most part and bad teams basically got massive QB regression (or massive WR injury issues)

Hard to believe their wasn't much of a drop off considering the guys they lost and what they replaced those guys with...I was thinking they had to have dropped down quite a bit. might as well stick with the bargain bin type WRs and spend the money elsewhere sorry to hi jack your thread I scoured the web to find a stat to get us back on track ESPN @espn 1h 1st Round OT Game Tracker: NHL Playoffs: 13 NBA Playoffs: 7 (most in a single round in NBA history) Here's to more OT action.

Mariners are 6-0 after an off day and 7-15 after playing the previous day. Still qualifies as a WTF.
And they are 6-2 following their abysmal 8-game losing streak which included 3 losses to the Astros and 3 to the Marlins.

The AL East does not have a single team with a positive run differential. Ther are only 3 teams in the entire American League with a positive run differential.
Here is another abstract stat for you stat hungry baseball geeks.
AL standings by run differential: 1. Oakland +50 2. Angels +39 3. Tigers +22 4. Twins -1 5. Mariners -3 5. Orioles -3 7. Red Sox -5 7. White Sox -5 7. Blue Jays -5 10. Royals -8 11. Rays -11 12. Yankees -12 13. Indians -17 14. Rangers -20 15. Astros -54
