Well here we go. As most of you know we went to see the first showing of “The Interview” at the Independent theater The Screenland Armor. Early yesterday morning I found out that two of the theaters showing the film were sold out. Fortunately, at 5AM I got the tickets online. We got to our little theater about 6:40 and found the place packed and ready to go sit down. Whatever movie was playing let out and a few people squeezed out and then we all charged in to get our seats. I was very proud of what I was seeing . Most older crowd and lots of younger 20’s and 30’s.. I think maybe two kids and they were 15 at the youngest.
The owner of the place addressed us and asked how many folks had never been there. And there were a lot. And there were a lot like me. But all of us were ready and we sure as fuck were not going to lie down and let those bastards win. Not going to happen. He asked if any one had seen the movie “Team America”. Every body raised their hand and he then he said he wanted to get a video of all of us singing the theme. SO he pulled put his device with the bright light and there we were singing. “America FUCK YA!”, as loud as we could. These people felt like me, acted like me.. I was very happy. Fuck you Mr. Supreme ruler.
Now ,,,the movie it self was better then I thought it would be. I laughed , A lot. Had a good time. Video, Xbox at the theater, go watch it. It was hilarious. And much much better then I thought it would be.. When it was over and the whole place was applauding, we were asked by the owner to leave through the back door because there was a lobby full of people anxious to get in. There are four theaters that participated and the all sold out all todays shows. And that is fucking awesome.
