Nice 3-0 on the West Coast swing I'm impressed. Its a shame DL isnt here. He told me Stepan wasnt a #1 Center and that the NYR run to the Cup Finals last year was unimpressive. I guess the only thing impressive to him these days is the Leafs inability to do much. I miss him. Isles up next. Then Boston, 'Lumbus and Shitsburg (Ovie Reference) on the road.

Huge game tonight. Unbelievable though that the Pens, Isles, and Caps all seemingly keep winning. Win 13 of 14 and barely make up any ground.

Thanks bud....hahahaha I like the reference.... The real work begins now. We cant solve the Islanders. We have 2 or 3 games in hand (47 games played so far) on some of the other Metro Division rivals (49 & 50+ games played) so we need to get to work and hopefully gain some ground. Next four are rough: Florida, Boston, Nashville and Dallas. Then February continues with Toronto, Colorado, Arizona, Islanders, Vancouver, Buffalo, 'Lumbus, Calgary, Arizona and Philly. Might try and get to the game @ Philly on the 28th.

The top 8 in the East seem to have broken from the pack 7 points separating 8th and 9th

Wave to the Penguins as they slide below you. Not yet. Going to be interesting without Henrik in net for at least 3 (maybe more) weeks.

Well here is the stupid thing, everyone is talking about what do we do with the Goaler situation now I dont want the NYR's to pull a St. Louis and do a Brodeur thing. I say ride Talbot; yes he is a back up and hasnt played more than 2-3 in a row; but what better time to figure out what type of cloth he is made of. I think we have 2 back to backs coming up, give a game or two to Skapski. I adhere to the older school of thought which gives the opportunities to the younger guys to fill voids due to injury and illness. We need to add a solid Center and maybe a tack-on defenseman for the playoffs; so I wouldnt waste too much effort solving the goaler problemo.

Give the kid a chance to prove himself or show that he can't be a regular. The worst thing they could do would bring in someone like Broduer and make him the starting goalie. It has happened though.
