This is how I rank the teams that have the best chance to win Super Bowl XLIX. This is largely based on first having the best chance just to get to the Super Bowl. You have to get there to win it. I will update after next week's games and give my Super Bowl(tm) prediction (Yes, you'll have to wait!) The Top Contenders I have 3 teams a notch above the rest. All 3 have their "flaws", but they are still the clear favorites to me 1 Who would have thought this after the first month? They have the #1 seed in the AFC and will be very tough to beat on their home turf. A healthy Gronk entering the playoffs could be what finally gets this team over that hump. 2 You could make the case for them as the #1 team right now. I have them at #2 because the NFC bracket is much more difficult than the AFC. If they can play all their games in front of the 12th man, well be seeing them in Glendale. Probably 3 The defense seems to be improving weekly, Lacy is running well, and Rodgers is just a stud. Also Dangerous4 They move up to the spot I previously had the Broncos in. They are doing a lot of things well lately. Can Romo finally get that monkey of his back? 5 Up and down team but mostly "up" right now. 6 Well...I feel I'm not dropping them enough. Check back next week 7 They win a lot of ugly games but they all count the same continued in post 2

Don't Stop Believin'(probably not happening though) 8 I've been a "believer" in this team for months. They need a healthy Stanton to have any chance. 9 They have the talent to match any team. How far they go depends on Dalton. (And Marv) (and not being "bungle-esque" 10 Fun to watch, and pretty solid all around aside from injury related issues on the o-line. 11 They tend to start slow. That doesn't work well in January. Their defense is just...not good. Andy Luck is a major reason for the slow starts. It'll be interesting to see how he does in these "big games". 12 They need to beat San Diego to get in. 13 Um. #13 is the Panthers 14 They may not make it in but I put them here mostly out of respect for what they have have done and what they might do if they got in. I'm hoping they don't make it in. I hate those guys. Sue me 15 I'll tell you more if they beat the Panthers It would be a major disappointment to me as a Patriots fan, and a "choke" to others, if the Patriots don't at least get to the Super Bowl. The NFC is much more interesting over all. Can't Wait
