Because every sports forum is required to have one of these, I give you the Official *SportsChatter Manning or Brady pollThe question is, which QB do you have ranked higher on your "All Time NFL QB" ranking? And why? Ok, that's 2 questions...only 1 poll though Vote/discuss

I jest, tho, zig.
We had debate "throw downs" on FanNation. I once ran a tournament and threw out a topic I loved. There were so many key issues up for debate but I was disappointed with the effort of one side.
The topic: better QB. Brady or.. Brady. The comparison was first 4 years when he won SBs VS the last 4/5 when he played better with much better stats but no rings.
Same guy, better performer, more experience, yet the argument went overwhelmingly to "rings". No one in their right mind can say Brady got worse as he gained experience and entered his prime. But the sheeple did.

But the sheeple did. Yeah he's better now (although his "peak" has passed) but the defense hasnt been as good. Another huge factor imo is the coaching. McDaniels is the most over rated guy in football. I preferred Bill O'Brien by a lot. They used to have such a great staff but all the good ones left and got replaced by really in experienced coaches. It's Bill and a bunch of interns now. It's really noticeable come play off time, they get "out coached" quite often which never used to happen. I'm planning on using this thread to get newbs lol

Tommy-Boy could make a band full of 1 arm receivers look like a SB offense. He is just better. Fuck the stats. He competes each day. Mannings make a mistake and always have that stupid Opie smirk on their faces...Omaha Omaha my ass. Fuck the field general bullshit. He doesnt win a SB in Denver he is a failure in my book. Elway expects him to deliver the goods.

He is a very good athlete; I believe he had many Div I lacrosse offers as well. His Dad was a footballer at UD.

Brady.
3 SB rings and 5 trips to the SB so far. Even if he gets there and loses this year he's still better than Manning.

I would rather watch Peyton Manning (at least through about week ten of the 2014 season).
But I say rings > yards every time. Joe Montana > Dan Marino, Bart Starr > Fran Tarkenton and Y.A. Tittle.
So, give me U-M's Tom Brady!

OkayHoly unintended collateral damage Batman! Clearly I didn't fully think out my entire response. My bad. What I should have said is that in the event that you are comparing two or more somewhat equal and talented QBs, the rings are the deciding factor. My examples show that. Your examples illuminate how incomplete my comments were.

I know you are getting at the point that he won all three of his SBs in that span. He was statistically better in 2007-2014, but he wasn't exactly horseshit in 2001-2006. I think you are reading more into my point than is there. The guy never had a bad year and frequently had to work with offenses that had to be remade on the fly because the Patriots believe a great deal in running back and/or receivers by rental...
