Vous parlez le patois? Incroiable! Vous etes Americain, ne c'est-pas? Mais oui, vous habitez en Austin quand vous etes petit-jeune... Clyde The Glide Drexler, bro. His restuarant in Houston is a cajun hangout. I picked up a few words there. And I spent some time in Baton Rouge too. But I mostly know black cajun. It's way different from white cajun. My mother's third husband is from Shreveport. I don't exactly brag about him being my step-dad, but he did learn us some phrases.

Well, this is the kinder, gentler Zigsite, so I guess I can say that you appear to have come out of your Mom's marriage instability pretty well, from what I can see. I've been with the same woman for 18 years. She's the only woman I've ever married and only the third woman (as a lover) that I co-habituated with. My parents were each only married once. My maternal grandparents were each only married once. But, I am the product of long line of Americans, Christians and Republicans so, I guess long term marriages come with the territory.
Back on the Cajun thing, growing up in east and central Texas, we got exposed to a smorgaboard of music: Tex-Mex (Doug Sahm band), Texas swing (Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel), Cosmic Cowboys (Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson), Coral Reef rock (Jimmy Buffett) Southern Rock (Allman Bros, Lynyrd Skynrd, ZZ Top) Country Rock (Marshall Tucker) Blues (Stevie Ray Vaughn) Zydeco (Cifton Chenier, Buck Zydeco) Cajun (Bosaliel) Hillbilly Rock (Barefoot Jerry, Charlie Daniels) Punk (the usual suspects) Grunge (he usual suspects) Hair bands (he usual suspects) Glammer Rock (Bowie) Opera Rock (Stix) Folk rock (Arlo Guthrie, CSN&Y)
All these bands were coming through Austin.

Jebus,,, BOSTON (CBS) – The area near the finish line of the Boston Marathon was evacuated Tuesday night after an unattended backpack was left at the finish line. Police tape has been put up around the photo bridge on Boylston Street. WBZ-TV photographers on scene say they saw a man with the backpack screaming “Boston Strong” before police cleared everyone from the area. Witnesses say the man was wearing a long black veil and was acting strange. It is unclear whether or not the man was taken into custody boston.cbslocal.com/2014/04/15/boylston-street-evacuated-after-backpack-left-near-finish-line/

Can't hardly blame them. Won't be the last time that happens.

Word. Nothing like watching your team suscumb to a 9th inning grand slam. Must see TV sir Sorry your guys lost that game, pickles. It was an unbelievable game. I turned on the TV just as the 8th inning was starting as I was going to bed. Needless to say I didn't go to sleep until after the game was over. Phils sure made it interesting in the 8th. That is one of the best games I've seen in the past few years or so.
