Ga. Southern went undefeated in the Sun Belt but no bowl. That's dicked. Zach mentioned that in his preview of the New Orleans bowl. GS ineligible for a Bowl in their first season. That's messed up. I fail to see any logic behind that "rule". But as a PSU fan, I'm used to the lack of the NCAA's logic. |

Why does the NCAA punish future teams for what past teams did? Because they have no way to punish those who committed the infractions directly and view the University as a single entity. In Hollywood, its the equivalent of the bad guy who abducts the stars's wife & children to hold them hostage because they can't reach the one fighting them. |

Arizona State vs Duke looks fascinating on paper. The two teams had remarkably similar seasons but ASU received more media love (no idea why). Probably because it's Duke.
I don't know if the Dookies can travel to El Paso and win in a virtual home game for the Sun Devils. Phoenix really isn't THAT far via I-10. I've made the drive a few times. But I really like Duke to cover 7.5 points. That seems high for a fairly even matchup.

As a OC, I think this guy is a bit overrated, but hard to say as he didn't have much of an o-line to work with. But honestly, having a great o-line at bama probably wasn't due to him anyways, and even then they struggled at times to light up the scoreboard, I think Saban's recruiting and the strength/conditioning coaches helped that o-line be so good and made Nussmeier look better than what he really is. I don't think hes horrible, but nothing special in my book. |

However he did only have one year at michigan, so may not be completely fair to say hes nothing great yet.
