 Just a little background for you people that live above the Mason Dixon line. Fall in SE Louisiana doesn't happen until mid to late November. It only lasts for @ 24-36 hours and traditionally occurs on a Tuesday morning. You go to bed to full foliage and wake up on Tuesday and all of the leaves have fallen. Wednesday you get your first episode of false spring with the resulting 90 degrees and 97% humidity! |

SAN FRANCISCO — The situation in San Francisco has deteriorated to the degree that now passing ruffians are saying "Ni!" at will to old ladies.
Even San Franciscans involved in the arranging and selling of shrubberies have fallen under considerable economic stress. "Despite repeat customers asking for another shrubbery, times are hard," said a local man named Roger. "We literally have a cart that goes up and down the streets of San Francisco to collect the bodies. It's bad out here."
According to locals, the Golden Gate Bridge has become impassable, guarded by a crazy old man who accosts tourists with questions. "The animals have also become violent, especially the rabbits," said a local man named Tim. "The streets are filled with the remains from the horrific attacks. Look at the bones!!"
At publishing time, the ruffians who had been saying "Ni" had also fallen under severe duress due to hearing a particular word spoken. However, it could not be determined what it was, so people kept saying it.

 WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to mounting criticism of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnel's fitness to serve, the Republican party has replaced McConnell with a far more lifelike cardboard cutout of the Kentucky senator, according to sources.
"This will provide us with much more functional leadership," said GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. "This cardboard cutout is a vast improvement, with its static depiction of Senator McConnell being far more lively and interactive than the real, human version. No one even noticed for over a week." |

This is a remembrance of a former colleague by Michael de Adder, an editorial cartoonist for the Washington Post. The art work is amazing and this is in the form of what I will call a graphic short story. I was very moved by this and just needed to share with people I thought might appreciate it.

That is absolutely classic! My attack cat, Maxwell, likes to shoot the puffballs under the door after they go to bed at night. We leave a dozen or so in the room and within an hour of the door being closed they will be out in the hallway. One paw will be waving under the door waiting for me to shoot them back to him. |
