They only have $2.28 million left in cap space for next year and they have to sign Tatar and Athanasiou. Not looking good for the Winged Wheel. |

I don't see why the Pens would consider moving Phil - not broken don't fix it. With MAF gone they free up needed cap gap anyways. |

After the Cup win last year there were a lot of rumors flying that Kessel would be traded. Either they didn't find a good deal, or they didn't intend to trade him. I'm sure Rutherford would pull the trigger on a deal if you made him a good enough offer, but I don't see him aggressively shopping Phil. With Crosby, Malkin, Kessell, Geuntzel, and Sheary you have a good group of forwards and all you need is some role players. If (and that's a big if) Letang comes back they signed Shultz and they have a couple kids in Wilkes-Barre who should be good to go defense they have a nice core for another Cup run. Big question mark is Murray. Will he be able to stand up to a full season and then the playoffs? |

According to "Cap Friendly" the Pens have over $10 million in cap space. Dumolin and Sheary are both RFAs and need to be resigned. Don't know why JR is messing around. Sheary had a good year and Dumolin played great in the playoffs. |

Just like February is the best time of year to be a Pittsburgh Pirate fan. Once the season starts reality comes and well . . . . . . it usually doesn't work out the way they thought it would. Regardless, from the players they brought in, it should be a fun season for you Harry. |

Yeah they will definitely be hurting without him, but he's got to think about his future outside of hockey. He's made enough money now that he could afford to hire someone to wipe the drool from his face if he gets another neck injury, but that's no way to live. |
