I have their 1969 performance at the Texas International Music Festival in MP3 format. Also have Chicago Transit Authority, Big Brother & Holding Company, Canned Heat and others from that show. It's a pretty cool time capsule from back in the day.

Just kind of weird the audience just sits there tho lol

Chicago was still introduced as "Transit Authority" and Zep was just hitting the U.S. for the first time. Lots of energy in both shows.

Chicago...one of those bands you're afraid to admit you like lol I was a kid when these bands started out but luckily I had older bros and sisters that got me hooked on it. Still really all I listen too, classic stuff. I'm pretty lame in that way lol

I've finally succumbed to Country (grew up in New Mexico and hated Country opposed to Rock). Now most Country is likened unto Rock...the even the old Country sounds pretty cool. Rock would be mostly late 60's into the late 70's. When I returned from Vietnam, went to college and decided to move to a commune. Decided on Morning Star in Northern NM....went home to talk to everyone before I 'dropped out'....next I knew I was a janitor in the local hospital and my hair was cut to 'regular' length....life has been weird ever since.... LOL

LOL I can't do "country" as currently marketed. It's the equivalent of "rock" as currently marketed. Way too generic and way too polished. Tried Sirius XM for awhile to see if I could find something else but it's just as slick and packaged as OTA radio. Only radio I listen to exclusively is the Ticket down in Dallas. I've actually been turned on to more great music (Old '97's; Randy Rogers; Polyphonic Spree) in the past few years by a damn sports station than I have been on FM radio in the past 25. Oh... and I'm a huge fan of Cody Canada, Cross Canadian Ragweed and the Red Dirt country genre. I don't know how many times I saw Ragweed perform when they were still together. The new Departed album (Cody's current gig) hits the shelves and iTunes next month. If what I hear is true, it's gonna be a damn good return to his work with Ragweed. Check it out, Otis sez.
