Late night fixing grandson's computer (college students think they know everything until a little man with a headset pops up on every damn application they open at which point they install "Speed Up My PC" which creates more havoc but I digress)...
My hero Dirk hits the back breaking 3 in OT to lift the Mavs to a 96-88 win over the Nets... and with that shot moves into 7th place on the all time scoring list passing Mo Malone.
Mavs are 11-0 on the road against the East. Pretty damn salty.

Man... The one dude in the history of sports around here that was the walking advertisement for not having a solid foundation as a person before trying to be a pro athlete. Incredibly sad... and I hope he finally found peace in his life. He was only fifty.

Wins over OKC and Cleveland (minus Lebron) this past week. Not too shabby.
Kings are 14-12 when Boogie plays, 2-9 without him.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Amare Stoudemire to the Mavs. I know fully good and well he isn't a defensive "expert"... but he provides needed depth off the bench at the 4 and 5. And with O'Neal still undecided about playing again, it was a nice pickup for my heroes.
In the West - need all the good players we can get. And he's still a good player.
