So you're not much of a follower of MMA, then... I've let it lapse in the past few years, Dana has just over-saturated it and it's gotten pretty shitty, lots and lots of terrible cards. I used to watch religiously. Went to one in Newark a year or so ago. Met Cowboy, that guy is awesome, but he's had some fucking mind numbing losses. I agree with all of that and feel the same way. Sonnen is easily a top ten all time wrestler to compete in MMA... Easily... |

UFC fighter Nick Diaz reportedly was attacked by a group of men outside a Las Vegas nightclub early Wednesday.
Diaz, the brother of Conor McGregror’s nemesis Nate Diaz, said he was leaving the bathroom of the Hyde nightclub inside the Bellagio when he accidentally bumped into a fellow partygoer, according to TMZ.
Diaz — who recently served an 18-month suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission for using marijuana — apologized, but the man was not mollified and started yelling at Diaz. Eventually, the angry patron was joined by three of his friends and the group jumped Diaz, who has spent most of his career fighting at welterweight (170-pound limit).
“I didn’t start it. They didn’t know who I was,” Diaz told TMZ.
If they had known who Diaz was, they might not have attacked him. Diaz quickly took a couple of the guys to the ground, where he pounded on them with his fists and put them in chokeholds.
While Diaz was unleashing his MMA skills, the melee reportedly spilled out from Hyde’s bathroom onto the Bellagio’s casino floor, where his attackers grabbed chairs in order to fend off club and casino security.
Diaz, who suffered a nasty gash on his head that might require stitches, was confirmed by the casino as the victim in the whole ordeal. The 33-year-old decided not to press charges, saying his attackers “got the worst of it.”

Rock, a buddy of mine... More of an acquaintance... He's from Woonsocket- making his debut in the UFC this Saturday. Yup... Kid from Woonsocket, fighting in the UFC... jorge rivera is a casual friend of mine. he sucked tho, got knocked out twice in the first 20 seconds. (id never say that to his face, he still insists he got cheap shotted on one) whats this kids name? what weight? |

Kid from Woonsocket, fighting in the UFC... jorge rivera is a casual friend of mine. he sucked tho, got knocked out twice in the first 20 seconds. (id never say that to his face, he still insists he got cheap shotted on one) whats this kids name? what weight? LOL, yeah I know Jorge too. Well, I've met him several times. 50/50 shot if he remembers my name. fucking menacing... Sweet guy, though. He definitely thinks he got cheap shotted with the illegal knee by Bisping. He's not wrong. Funny, I actually asked him once why the UFC officials didn't make a bigger deal out of that knee. "Because he's their fucking British poster boy" was his exact response... Anyway, dude fighting on Saturday night is Andre Soukhamthath. Fights bantamweight (135)... I met him about 6 years ago through some mutual friends. Incredibly classy and friendly guy. Dime piece wife, former Miss Teen Rhode Island... She's a total sweetheart too. Don't see him much anymore as he moved to Florida a few years ago to train with the Blackzilians, but I bumped into him at a 4th of July party and then at the Hopedale spring fest a couple years ago. So thrilled that he finally got the call to fight in the big show. |
