Meanwhile... another night and another loss and another piss poor effort by the guy who will be a boat anchor on this team for another three years and FINALLY someone in the leering press calls him out. Those two goals to open the game sucked the life out of me and I watched "The Americans" and "Sons Of Liberty" instead. Looks like I can steel myself for hopping on a bandwagon this post season again. Fucker... Sounds like 2 years back when the flames had Joey wet paper bag MacDonald in net. i am still shocked none of his team mates were fined for punching him in the locker room. As my then teen aged Son so accurately asked me while watching a game " he knows he's supposed to stop those right?"......... Yes. I'm pissed. Some are gonna go in. I think most fans understand that. The one that he should have stopped last night to prevent OT was one of those where he just got caught out of crease and reacted poorly. While I wasn't happy with them (matter of fact - I dropped more than a couple of "F" bombs) - I understand those happening. The other guys are playing too. But those first two goals on those first two damn shots at the beginning of the Buffalo game... there are way too many of those in the past couple of years. Way too many for your starting goalie... making $6M a year... |

been a goodly while since we saw a gig assed trade like this in the middle of the year- i kinda like it for both teams. of course , if Kane doesn't grow up Buffalo gambled and lost. |

There were obviously some issues in the dressing room but they all get wiped clean when you move to a new team, and on this team he is one of the older guys |

Last couple of minutes have been pretty fucking rough for the Stars. Seguin got low-bridged by Kulokov and had to be helped off the ice. Then a minute or so later, while on the 5 minute Major, Eaves took a shot to the head and he just got helped off the ice. And Hemsky went off in the 1st.
Battle of attrition.

I don't think it was a vicious of a hit as everyone is making it out to be. From what I have watched, Kulikov could have really really wrecked him esp. since Seguin had his head down from the redline trying to work the puck up from his skates to his stick. I dont think Kulikov meant to get him that low, it was a pretty good hip check. The fact that it is low sucks but I have seen worse. He does catch him with his hip on the upper leg. |
